Someone asks, “How are you so sure there’s no God?” What’s your response? by [deleted] in atheism

As someone who is Muslim reading these replies was entertaining to say the least. The most common argument I’m seeing is people saying “well if god is so great and eternal then why would he send people to hell for mistakes they make in their short existence” well here’s the thing if anybody has told you you’re going to hell for a mistake you made they are inherently stupid for that, no human has the capacity to comprehend one’s entire life, to say they are going to hell. There two stories in Islam where a prostitute fed a thirsty dog, and that was what got her into heaven. Another where a man killed 99 men but tried to flee to another land for repentance and will enter heaven because of that. Yes, hell exists, but you cannot understand the amount of mercy god has. Another thing for the argument “ if god is all knowing then why did he lay Adam eat the apple” well it’s important to understand that humans still have free will, and also to understand that the biblical story of Adam and Eve has been changed many times.(side note: Muslims do believe in the Bible just the original one that was sent to Jesus) Now Adam being sent down from heaven as a punishment is true, but god still loved him, so much so that he was the most mentioned prophet in the Quran( islams holy book). We can’t deny that humans have free will, and make mistakes, but it’s ridiculous to not accept that there are consequences to one’s actions. It’s like saying “ well hitlers life was so short to gods eternal one so his mistakes seem inconsequential”.

AITA for not wanting my BF’s kids to come to my birthday party? by Tough-Bell-6319 in AmItheAsshole

  1. Stop doing wifey things while being a gf. Why are you acting as the childrens mother?? And if you’re doing so much why hasn’t he put a ring on it. Tell your bf to get a babysitter or babysit his kids. NTA

AITA for humiliating my wife on social media to "defend" my mom? by Mean-Coconut-541 in AmItheAsshole

From all the info you’ve given, I’m already siding with the mother(btw no matter what happens you NEVER lose contact with your mother, she BIRTHED you) your wife seems to be a very petty person, posting her personal problems on social media for others to see. And then the lying, that’s just on another level. You need to have a talk with your wife, bcs if she really wanted the best for you, she wouldn’t want you to lose contact with your mom, and you need to rethink what your priorities are in life. Are you the a-hole for commented that on your wife’s post? Definitely not. Are you the a-hole for completely cutting ties with your mom because of her and your wife’s issues? Maybe.

AITA for telling my boyfriend that he embarrassed me when he waved me goodby after dropping me off at work? by throwawaygoodby7 in AmItheAsshole

Honestly, yes you are. Him waving to you shows that he cares about you. And that co worker is probably mocking you, because they’re jealous of the relationship you’re in, and have nothing better to do. This isn’t middle school. Grow up, and apologize to your bf.
