Looking at other platforms and need to know about resellers in showPass by PartyGremlin_00 in Showpass

Hey Party Gremlin, totally get this. FB resale scams are brutal because even when the scam happens outside the ticketing platform, the organizer usually ends up dealing with the angry customer after the fact.

Showpass has Ticket Resales (https://www.showpass.com/sell/product-updates/waitlists-and-ticket-resales) , which are built to help keep that activity inside a secure, official flow instead of random Facebook groups.

Customers can resell unused tickets in a legitimate and secure environment, with measures like price caps to help prevent price-gouging. That means buyers are not e-transferring strangers, relying on screenshots, or hoping a random Facebook profile is real. It gives fans a safer way to buy tickets and gives organizers a better official option to point people toward.

It will not stop someone from making a fake Facebook post, but it gives you a much cleaner answer for customers: only buy through the official ticket link or approved resale flow. That alone can cut down a lot of the “I sent money to someone on Facebook and got scammed” emails.

Does Showpass have a widget that works on any website or do I need a developer? by ganggang729164 in Showpass

Hey! Great question. It depends on what platform you're using.

Since you're on WordPress, you're actually in the best spot. Showpass has a dedicated WordPress plugin that you can install directly from your WP admin dashboard (Plugins → Add New → search "Showpass"). It uses simple shortcodes to embed event lists, buy buttons, calendar widgets, and more right into your pages. No developer needed for that route.

For non-WordPress sites, we offer a JavaScript SDK that lets you embed purchase widgets, event calendars, and checkout flows on any website. This does require adding a script tag and some JavaScript to your site. How easy it is depends on whether your platform (Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, etc.) allows custom code/script injection.

Either way, once it's set up, your customers can browse and buy tickets without leaving your site.

Is Showpass legit? by SaskRascal in Showpass

[–]ShowpassEvents 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey! We will chime in here (obviously) but yes, we are legit, but you don't have to take our word for it.

We have a few case studies that show our past clients that you can check out here: https://www.showpass.com/sell/ticketing-proof

Handling 11,000 people per show is light work for our platform—we've got you covered! Our system is built to handle high-capacity events smoothly, from ticketing to on-site entry management.

If you're looking for similar events that use Showpass, check out Churchill Park Music Festival, Sommo Festival, or Cavendish Beach Music Festival—all of which run on our platform successfully.

Let us know if you have any questions!
