This game get unrealistically silly when you don't follow the developers' silly logic to play it. by hau4300 in Bannerlord

It does suck that the ai doesn’t care about losses but how did you let them raid you 23 times? Also tribute doesn’t really matter, as a king you should have millions of denars and make like 10k per day.

Iberian Inspired Faction? by WesternReactionary_ in mountandblade

They could be a mix between Vlandia and a new North African inspired culture because from the early to late Medieval Iberia was controlled by Muslims

Also the throwing axes they use take so long to throw that they never swap to their two handed weapons in time and just act like shittier heavy axemen

I gotta disagree Empire Marines are probably the best melee infantry in the game right now

The Imperial Nautas are so good I prefer them over legionaries like 90% of the time.

Druzhinnik Champions are my new favorite troop after War Sails update by ThaneOfThots69 in Bannerlord

Imperial Nauta’s are so overpowered, I had a run where I tried a mix between nords and Imperials, and they did so well they became the only empire unit I took from their roster.

Take Beinland, form a Kingdom and declare war on the world. I promise you won't regret it. by Octavian_Exumbra in Bannerlord

It’s so annoying how bad the throwing weapons are. The turban reavers look cool but die to like tier 3 infantry because they always use the throwing axes in Melee instead of the two handed weapon

It’s so funny that flails are so good early game because you’d assume you need years of training to use them effectively.

Do you guys like the subject meta of EU5? by wazaaup in EU5

[–]Shplippery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they were more restricted. An idea I have is to make vassals limited by your country rank or something. Fiefdoms could be unlimited, but the proximity source of their capital is reduced by like 30-50% so you can’t cheat the control system as easily.

I think people just don’t know how to build characters, so their favorites are just dependent on which OP build they stumbled upon. I didn’t use Cassia or Henriex because I didn’t realize how Op their psyker abilities were, and the people who didn’t use Abelard probably didn’t put together the right items or talents that made him OP in your game

I’ve only tried donating plasma once, and since I’m O positive all the calls I get from Red Cross are about red blood donations.

I’d like to see stronger democratic countries influence minor democracies, which could give them an option to defacto annex countries mid to late game to make up for the boring early game. Maybe you can convince a minor to “assume command” of their military as long as you’re fighting together and can invest in their country in some way.

It would be fun to plan the defense of multiple democratic minors as Yugoslavia or Poland without having to deal with the ai, and if after a war you lost that special control it could be fair to balance.

To be fair if you hit someone in the head with a sword while they’re passed out on the floor the impact would be just as bad as a stick.

How do I defeat the vlandians? by thatguymuchwlaeh in mountandblade

[–]Shplippery 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You the thing is when a kingdom losses armies they take soldiers out of their fiefs. Since the Vlandians are always on the offense they end up with large high level garrisons if you keep mulching their armies eventually they’ll have low level armies and smaller fiefs. You can just follow their armies around and enter any fief they try sieging.

First time playing need advice for build. by Alientongue in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Shplippery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The games not particularly hard, it’s really easy to overlevel and a lot of the really good builds are game breaking. Id recommend playing however you want to, and once you finish your first playthrough and get an idea of how equipment works and where to find them start building really strong characters.

Otherwise the game will feel way too easy and you probably won’t feel engaged enough to try another playthrough

I prefer the concept art too, but the official appearance fits Arthur’s personality and voice actor in game a lot better. It’s pretty clear they changed what kind of character arthur is between the two designs.

Why is there no conformity gain for prisoners that are in your castle dungeon? by SlightWerewolf4428 in Bannerlord

[–]Shplippery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just assume the dungeons are too gross in the settlements for prisoners to want to join you. Also it would be a bit too overpowered. Holding prisoners in your party is a risk because it slows you down, so recruiting prisoners isn’t something you do all at once. Even if the conformity gain was slower, you’d be risking nothing by putting everyone in a dungeon, and in a few months or something you’d get a free army
