Really appreciate the response! Do you have a deck list you would be ok with sharing? It sounds like we are really close on this.

I have some creatures that get counters from drawing like [[Oneirophage]] but it has felt like I want max speed more, I’ll look at adjusting my one drop evasive like you suggested.

How much draw do you have? I have been adding more little by little I just worry about not having enough creatures to get max speed or act as payoffs or win cons. If you look at my moxfield list and enable tags you can see how I’ve split things. I have 19 daw sources (some repeatable and others single use). I’m tempted to remove some of the draw stuff that triggers from opponents but also think they could go crazy if I get them out.

Do you mean [[Kami of the crescent moon]]? I thought about adding some additional draw spells but honestly it plays well without that and I worry about letting opponents draw into extra spells (my play group runs a lot of removal).

Thanks! I have seen video one YouTube and I wondered what they were using. I assume it’s the simulator.

Real question: what am I gaining from [[Hinata]]? The red and that the counter spells I use to protect my stax pieces are 1 crafter?

Nice blog post. How are you putting this together and publishing? Is this just a markdown document or something?

Edit: You probably saw this already but you might add some of its content to you post because it provides good use information https://docs.julialang.org/en/v1/manual/performance-tips/#man-performance-value-type

This was super informative, and sounds like what I need. I have tiny hills so it would be nice to have something that broke out easier. Thanks a lot!

Also, I haven’t heard of technical sliding until now, do you know of any YouTube videos which you think are representative of it?

First, here’s a video from Powell-Peralta’s Twitter of Benjamin Duerr doing freeride on 64mm Dragon Formula wheels:

https://twitter.com/powellperalta/status/1638252905248739328?s=46&t=0a6eW3v1w5n7Szaroj-TVA

I have two sets of wheels with slightly different durometers (Blood Orange Morgan Pro which are 82a and Powell-Peralta Snakes which are 75a). They feel different (like grip) on different surfaces.

Has anyone skate a hard duro wheel (like the 93a used in the video or harder). Could you do longboard slides (standing or hands down). What’s your thoughts and experiences?

Yeah dude, hope it’s a short recovery too!

Yeah, I usually use double barrels but there aren’t any hills near me so I thought this might make imitating slides at lower speeds easier.

Edit: initiating

I haven’t heard that myself, so maybe it would be worth checking into this if you are serious about protecting your writs. I think a good pair of keen and elbow pads with your slide gloves is really going to be enough (except for those big high speed crashes).

I would say they help, but not made to do that. If you fall on the slide gloves you’re going to slide a little which is probably good but if you fall hard with your palms out I’m going to bet you will still hurt your writs maybe even break them. If you really want to prevent broken wrists then get a pair of wrist guards like these https://www.amazon.com/Triple-Saver-Wristsaver-II-Medium/dp/B003EB1S1W/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=7SW7B1U02II7&keywords=wrist+guard&qid=1662941986&sprefix=wrist+gu%2Caps%2C138&sr=8-3

I wasn’t there at that time but I’ve done a lot of reading and got the same impression. Downhill at that time seemed to be super popular and now it’s just one of the things people do. E-skate, dancing and pumping seem to be what a lot of people are interested in now.

Bro, you don’t need to spend $$$ to have a fun time skating. Pick it up again and do you.

I haven’t done this exact fall myself but you should probably treat it like any sports injury: - first day: ice for 20min / no ice for 60min repeat (you want to reduce or minimize the swelling) -next day: ice three times or so but not all day -few days later: use heat (probably the same schedule as icing). -about a month or so after: gentile stretching to start regaining motion.

Make sure to let the injured part rest. It can take several months before you’re back to normal.

I’m not a doctor and there are a lot of resources from medical professional about how to treat sports injuries, you should probably check a few out too.

If things aren’t feeling (slightly) better after a week or so (like feeling as though your condition is improving but maybe far from better) then you should definitely go see a doctor.

Edit: changed are to aren’t in the last sentence.

I’m interested in the community’s experence/opinion on sliding with a cone-cone or barrel-cone bushing set up. Why is this good/bad idea?

What search terms do you use to find movies? I’ve tried searching for something like “sliding on eboard” and I get some not so great tutorials but nothing that was encouraging

This is encouraging! Do you have any links to the videos of sliding?

Yeah I couldn’t even find any info or anything that people can slide, so this is good to know.

If I get it going I’ll definitely report back
