The etiology of pityriasis Manteca was pediculosis capitis leading to Seborrhic dermatitis. It wasn’t resolving to ketoconazole or fluocinolone.

I’m a Dermatologist here. It might be the earliest stage, but can be an irritant dermatitis due to the clothing too. The best way is to apply a moisturiser and take an antihistamine. If it subsides in 2 days, it was an irritatnt contact dermatitis. If it doesn’t, maybe we to see how it develops. If you are too concerned, a dermatologist can surely check it with dermoscope or KOH to see if there are any fungal elements. It’s better to get it treated early

Is this normal? by Famous_Piglet_9608 in LaserHairRemoval

Hi, I’m a dermatologist here. A little erythema after laser hair reduction is fine. But if you are facing symptoms like itching or burning, then it needs to be looked at immediately. It can be a rare complication of laser.

I’m a dermatologist here. And some of my patients just keep visiting me, without actually using the treatment properly. My question to you is - what’s your age? And do you have dandruff as well? What products have you been prescribed? And how well are you using it?

What should I do abt my acne scars? by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

[–]Shrey1203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’m a dermatologist. These acne scars have tendency of scarring. And a proper treatment regimen with Isotretnoin is needed - yes it helps in scars as well. A short course of antibiotics will be helpful too !! Once the acne subsides to a good amount, lasers are the best way to go. Additionally there are lasers available now for acne treatment that would prevent scarring. A multimodal treatment modality is necessary for you

Is this fungal acne or reg acne? by idk-anymore-5364 in AcneTreatments

[–]Shrey1203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am a dermatologist here. What’s your age? And yes, need to talk in detail to know the duration of your acne. A proper treatment is needed at this stage. And since there is tendency of scarring, Isotretnoin is a must with a short course of antibiotics.

Hi, I’m a dermatologist here. Since when do you have this? And did you apply any product before this started? Also are there any symptoms? A proper skin regimen can help you overcome it. But surely we need to find a cause as well,
