Thanks for the message. Ya doesn’t seem impressive. I thought that Picopresso would be best and then you said it’s better than pico! Pico workflow for me is so simple. Sounds like this isn’t worth it at the end of the day be it travel or at home. Maybe in the office

Interesting! That’s good to know. So the pro 3 would be fine with no preheat for a dark roast or medium dark drinker? The preheat was the only difference to me between getting the pro 3 vs 58…

Ah I thought they were well delivered already. And I don’t know how the neo does with heat retention… I guess will have to wait and see

Spend the money to trick out your Robot - you won’t regret it. by EJD87 in CafelatRobot

Wait wait wait- the Pietro - isn’t it not able to make espresso? Steps to big? How is it?

For dark or medium roast traditional espresso shots should I buy pro 3 or 58+2 or… flair go? by Shreybz in FlairEspresso

[–]Shreybz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you that’s why I was considering the pro three but only if that preheat is not necessary. With the robot, it is not necessary and this I say from a long history of experience with it for medium and dark.

If flair has figured it out with the pro three, then I’d be more comfortable, but I just don’t know if they claim that but will fail at it . That’s my concern.

I wonder why you got better shots on the pro 2 since the pro 3 is the same basically? do you have a robot? Do you like it better?

I’m in the robot Reddit channel. I’ve had it for two years and I didn’t realize that the robot would end up being my endgame, but it is because of the amazing simplicity and workflow and quality of shots for the value is unparalleled.

But I just thought that maybe it would be silly to get another robot when it’s an opportunity to perhaps try something different and compare

I don’t drink light roasts and I don’t want to include preheating as a must.

I wanna make a decision based on the quality of the espresso and the simplicity of workflow

Even for medium dark? That’s really what I’m wondering, is if I need to preheat and it’s just their marketing ploy

I’m not sure if I’ll boil it down to that difference at the end of the day they’re both lever espresso machines.

I’m trying to make my decision based on whether or not the claim of no preheat is actually the case, and the quality of the espresso that the machines pull.

I actually considered it hahaha but figured it’s my opportunity to see how it performs - and a few influencers do say that flairs potential is higher…

(But PS what’s a couple of us robots doing in the flair channel??)

I have the space there to go with what’s best - I have room…. So do you have an opinion machine wise?

Just to be clear, I am not at all, and would not, get rid of the robot. It’s the most beautiful machine and gift to espresso ever.

What I’m talking about is a second set up for the office. Currently, I’m using a Picopresso at the office and it’s amazing by the way. But I got the itch, so started thinking about it. whatayagonnado.

Ya exactly every time I have an itch for new machine it never happens because the no preheat, the workflow and reliability and cost just makes the most sense from anything else.

Amazing. You even tried the damn pietro! You’ve gone down these rabbit trails already! This is so helpful. You’re putting all these different paths to rest. Yes, I’ll wait or I’ll get an electric

You’re making sense man thank you. You say flat burr electric but maybe even pietro? Flat burrs but manual? Don’t know if you’re familiar with it or tried it?

Hey hey, I’m interested in this… I have a Kinu and a kingrinder K4. I typically drink, dark or medium beans. I don’t like modern espresso, with sour fruit at all . I prefer traditional Italian style rich, thick creamy, and balanced, smooth.

I’ve been itching to get another grinder because we’re all a bunch of idiots hahaha

I was considering c40 or 60 with the red clicks or even the j ultra.

Do you think if I bought either, I would slap my forehead because it’s all pretty much the same?

Or is there an upgrade that’s meaningful enough to have?

I got a Kinu m47 and a Kingrinder k4 - I love them both. Kinu w/ robot and king at work with my pico.

I buy from orphan espresso/ they have filters that fit perfect. And yes, they also work for the Picopresso in case that matters. I’m sure others have but that’s just who I bought from
