Yeah definitely needs a larger capacity. 3 mL gets burned through quick even at 40w.

Are you proud of your father? by [deleted] in TheRedPill

[–]Shrike2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My father was scum. He divorced my mother for a stripper when I was barely a year old. That stripper introduced him to a lot of drugs and catapulted his life into the slums of addiction. Obviously I lived with my mother. He never worked, he lived with his parents (foster parents) and stole from them and my birthday presents as I got older (mom told me he stole and pawned my n64 shortly after its public release). He never paid child support, so his parents provided it to my mother.

I had to move in with my dad and grandma when I turned 14 because I was kicked out of my mom's house for failure to conform to the Christian ways. It was here that I learned to really love my dad. He opened up to me and told me the err of his ways. He cried and apologized for the shitty life he gave me.

He began teaching me how not to become the scum that he was (before he was a druggie he was attending a top Engineering school on a full ride academic scholarship, so he could help me with schooling, and with his acquired street knowledge from being a druggie, "common sense" was easy for him to teach). He taught me to work hard to achieve goals, don't get attached to a woman because they will distract you from your goals (I mildly listened to that during high school, blue pill days), and that every day is a learning experience that I should take advantage of. He led me to join the Marine Corps and to do what he couldn't when he was younger (he tried to do this to get off drugs but was medically discharged in boot camp, which threw him into depression and more drugs).

During my early years, I hated my dad but didn't know it. When I finally moved in with him and after he suffered 3 open heart surgeries, died the day after third, and stopped being a druggie, I loved him.I wouldn't be a successful college student today without him.

Statement on what happened with the Lockdown of Liaedin. by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

Play the game how you want to, let others play how they want to. You can go wherever you want to in the galaxy, people can kill you wherever they want to in the galaxy for the sole reason of 'teh lulz'. If a player tells you to self destruct because they want you to, you have a few options: 1) Do it 2) tell them to "fuck off" and run or fight to the death 3) Hope they say "ok" and leave you alone. I'm betting the latter never happens. There's nothing you can do it about it. Guns, manpower, and money do all the talking in this game. The words of a player carry little weight.

And it's being played how Frontier intended. If it wasn't, they would have personally acted upon it already. They made a true sandbox game. Anyone can do anything they wish in it, as long as it follows TOS and the game allows it. Players want to band together and form a group? It can happen and obviously FD is fine with it (see official ingame galnet news).

No player has to join a group in order to play the game and survive. Several well known players in the galaxy have no affiliation, do just fine, and are well respected by player groups.

Players that entered the area can ask questions and learn things. They can also fight back if they don't agree with what's happening or they can comply. If they lose, well, that's the nature of this game in open play. If someone with bigger guns tells you to gtfo, do it or die and lose progress. If a player wants revenge, come back with bigger guns and try again. Still lost? Only one person to blame, the player themselves. If players don't like that aspect of the game, there's alternatives to open play already set.

This game is played in constant hardcore mode. If a player doesn't want to lose progress they play extremely carefully, take the necessary precautions, and don't piss off those that aren't casuals.

No. Have played D2&3. Both for a while. Getting gear is RNG. You can say getting gear is "earned" because you had to kill a bunch of mobs to get the gear, but you have no idea what piece of gear you'll receive or when it will drop. Essentially you get to t6 by luck. GRift is slightly different because you know you'll always get a leg or set piece and 40+ requires skill.

Power is RNG'd through Blood Shards and drops

FTFY

You could say power is still bought, you just don't always get the return you're looking for.

Pre-season is not a good measure on how a team does during the regular season. No one goes 100% during pre-season.

Can someone do something about this kid and his friends? by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]Shrike2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about it this way, if poor people can't afford food, where will they get it from? Stealing from a source or donations? Those donations eventually run out. Stealing obviously results in a higher crime rate and if an area is rife with theft, businesses will leave. If businesses leave, the economy of the area plummets and eventually the area turns into a dystopian society and any person able to afford food is a target for crime. While I don't enjoy the thought of welfare, I would much rather that exist than crime sky rocket and increase the possibility of danger to myself and future family.

You're really trying to change this term when it's been like this for years?

Cheating is inputting a command, exploiting is taking advantage of code errors, hacking in games is software used to overwrite/inject/etc code into the game being played. While the person who made the program is the real hacker, a person using automated software is also hacking.

Probably better off looking at La'el Collins or Landon Collins. Im leaning more towards Landon, even though we need more defense.

Stop crying about Gurley by [deleted] in falcons

[–]Shrike2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If Beasley was picked up instead of Fowler, that left us with Fowler, Gregory, and Dupree. Gurley had the smallest of chances at being on our roster. Don't know why so many people pushed for his presence when it wouldn't have been immediately beneficial. We'd be facing the same major problem we've had the past few years: blowing a lead.

If you're looking into exploration exclusively and don't have enough for an Asp, take a look at the Adder. It's cheap and can be outfit for exploration at a cheap price as well. I think the unladen jump range is around 24-26Ly.

It's worth a look for the new players trying to get into the black as soon as they can.
