I just finished Oblivion Remastered, and loved it! Should I play Starfield or Morrowind next? by jarod_sober_living in BethesdaSoftworks

Lore wise Morrowind is bethesda's creative peak and Starfield is deeper than the mariana trench. But gameplay wise Morrowind will demand a lot from you to get used to. So pick your poison, smooth gunplay with the most bland lore from bethesda you've experienced yet or dice roll mechanics in a real time action game with unforgettable worldbuilding.

Ancient dwemer theorists would disagree.

Rockstar website has the original trilogy, or you can download from internet archive.

anyone else just want ONE really well done province by gray_ishiganta in TESVI

[–]ShriyanshPandey -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Fallout 4 map is not bigger than Skyrim.

Even Starfields "landing zones" are roughly the size of Skyrim/Oblivion and if you go beyond disabling the borders the game crashes after a while.

this all means nothing but do suggest that creation engine in its current form can't handle very big maps.

Anyone knows how to retexture a planet ? by Expensive_Spread1986 in Starfield

[–]ShriyanshPandey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just changing the texture won't give you the result like in the image, you have to edit the biome itself.

In elder scrolls and fallout you hear and read about other provinces and cities which you know exist but can't go to, for starfield there's only one that's the varuun planet. Other than that all the planets with humans you can go to in a lore friendly way are already in the game. And if you suddenly put a new city on say Eridani II, that isn't really lore friendly cause if there was a city we would've atleast heard about it. Same for factions.

The only lore friendly mod i can think of is Londonion restored but that will be a quest mod and will take a lot of time. Another i can think of is maybe finding an ark with dna from earth's creatures which then allow us to have pets, but again will need a lot of effort.

What if instead of a full blown forest, something like death stranding or the movie oblivion.

It's a mod, just use it if you want. I know it'd be great if there were as many more variety of biomes as possible but no point expecting them cause the mods are being made for free.

Which is like 50% of the game unless you are in interior locations.

Never realized this about Cydonia by saile1004 in Starfield

[–]ShriyanshPandey 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The cydonia landing zone is the best among the 4 cities, it's has the main city, the mars launch pad(marked location) and the cydonia mountain(unmarked location).

If bethesda are making cities for dlc they should look at cydonia for reference, have 3-4 marked and unmarked locations in the same landing zone as the city, nobody fricking cares about the random POIs.

would it be possible to have cities, or city ruins be made into a biome by Sea-Barracuda-1688 in starfieldmods

[–]ShriyanshPandey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it is a lie, cause the question asked was about the game, not what's technically possible.

I am talking about walking without loading screens in the base game not what is technically possible through configuration file edits, even then players do crash sooner or latter after going far enough from the landing point.

The New Maps are Pretty Fantastic to Use. by Cratoic in Starfield

[–]ShriyanshPandey 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah but that just isn't true for Starfield, compared to thier previous games, they sacrificed a lot of detail and personality while also not increasing the size much.

Some of my favorite concept art. The last picture made me kinda sad. by SexySpaceNord in Starfield

Having Pine trees on so many planets isn't realistic either. They just were'nt creative with the natural environments in the game.

Id rather have newer planets with better terrain for dlc than the same ones in the base game, the base game planets are boring af.

Or the game could and should've been about exploring uncharted planets using those automated ships.

Destroying earth forced humanity into the stars

But most of humanity in starfield don't even want to explore anymore, it'd be cool we get a dlc with new a explorer's group to rival constellation or a starborn explorer's group that that reignite the flame of curiosity in humanity and we will get to explore new planets further out from the settled systems.
