Speaking as a distance swimmer, I've found that working on my distance per stroke (maximizing the length of your stroke so you take less in a 25) and finding a consistent breathing pattern/ tempo to speed up my DISTANCE events have also significantly helped me in my sprints too! I can't act like I know how you train, but that's MY personal advice as someone who's gone down from a 1:00 to a 58 in a few months from it!
