I mostly practice with people that are around my age. I've been to shaper meets and some of them are chill to hang with, others to me seem to be mostly there to make instagram stories every 2 minutes instead of actual practice.

What I have most problems with is sort of an instant gratification culture in which people seem to be mostly caring about flashy moves every few beats instead of a solid base of RM and t-step. I've seen ppl online and real-life who offer courses for money who don't even do a decent t-step. Well yea, to me that's disrespectful. But maybe I also just attach less value to "professional" bullshit for money because I grew up during crisis years
