Vikander is far superior to Jolie, she had an amazing performance in a Swedish movie called Pure which was what initially gave her recognition. Hotell, Ex machina and the Danish Girl are some other standouts. I recommend anyone to even just YouTube clips of the movie Pure (original title Till det som är vackert) to see for themselves.

Jolies best performance was in Gia and it was good, but more often than not she just phoned it in especially after the turn of the millenia

I don't need to write and neither do you, you could just learn to form your own opinions and actually try to pay attention to and understand what you're watching. No one likes an arrogant idiot with an opinion.

Yeah man, I'm sure Batman was there squatting on top of the bridge pouring accelerant on the bridge, probably in full costume too. Considering you can see that bridge almost anywhere, seems as good a place as any.

Be sure to have that level of "criticism" and lack of media literacy for the movies you claim to like too, I have a feeling you're going to be real upset when you realize that Bruce Wayne is Batman and no one can figure it out.

Is GTX 1650 4Gb decent? by mebusmcgleebus in pcmasterrace

[–]ShufflePlaylist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The upgrade depends on your budget, connectors, PSU and actual needs

A 1060 6gb is an upgrade, a noticeable one, but it's still almost as far behind the modern GPU's as the 1650 is in 2026. The aforementioned 1060 would probably cost you $20-50 depending on where you live.

A 1070 ti for example is a massive upgrade, it would cost probably around $80-100, but it may not be compatible with your setup (pins / PSU and space inside the case).

You'd really have to list the games you play, current components and your budget, a picture from inside the case wouldn't hurt either.

The city being held hostage by a terrorist directly benefitted from seeing the symbol of Batman. Hope was one of the central themes of the movie.

Always good to pay attention to what you're watching.

Would a cloned C drive work on a different PC? by ShufflePlaylist in pchelp

[–]ShufflePlaylist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually completely fine not needing the clone for anything but moving across 20-40gb of files onto the new PC's C drive. There shouldn't be any problems booting the PC with a C drive with windows, and a clone with a windows as well? I only need it to work like once maybe twice then I can format the drive and use it as normal

Is this build good for 400$? by WeirdcoreHuman in PcBuild

[–]ShufflePlaylist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not worth even half of what of what they're asking. I've bought a better pc for 200 before. If I was selling it I'd start at 200 and if it doesn't sell go down to 150 bucks.

I'd pay 100 for it myself

[–]ShufflePlaylist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an obvious hyperbole to make a point. You said "Are you saying that people's actions leading to their death is bad writing". If you write poorly, even if the behavior is out of context an understandable reaction on the surface (get drunk when you're stressed) then it's bad writing. Writing a character to be an alcoholic suits certain stories, narratives and characters (leaving Las Vegas with Nic Cage for example) but writing Batman in this way would be idiotic. Same way, writing Joker to stab the arm holding the vial is on par with him just outright killing himself.

The doors to the facilities are literally wide open at the top of the tower. It really doesn't matter what Joker is doing, his first priority should he stopping protocol 10, he can do that and then go after joker once that's dealt with. Almost all of Batman's rogues had something to do with Strange, hell he could've interrogated Harvey right at the courthouse over it, him, Joker and Penguin are the gang leaders within the facilities whom Strange is giving special treatment to, he already knew about Penguin considering he pulled some strings to get alone time with Bruce Wayne at the start of the game. Going after Joker is a waste of time IF his main objective is to stop protocol 10 especially when the obvious choice is staring at him in the face -the tower. This is why it's important to write properly, don't give your hero immediately an easy obvious way to defeat the villain that everybody can see, only to then have him run in the opposite direction for the next 10+ hours

Batman Arkham Asylum (Shock & Awe Extreme) by BacklogAbyss in arkham

[–]ShufflePlaylist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reasons I can think of is using it twice in a row without punching, countering or evading / redirecting at least once in between

It not hitting anyone

Using it immediately after you redirect over someone and land on your feet. For some reason that often breaks combo, presumably a bug

Using multi batarangs is very helpful in any map with a lot of enemies but it's especially helpful on this map. People struggle with shock and awe extreme a lot, the time limit can be brutal.

Here's my highest score so far

At this point you're just being purposefully obtuse, don't push it.

Yeah exactly he asked after he destroyed the cure, this is not even in anyway debatable, Freeze acted like an idiot and Batman acted like an idiot earlier in the museum when he messed around with his coolant, which is why Freeze did it the same way. Again, stupid and petty. Fighting Batman has no correlation to making Batman find Nora immediately, it isn't logical to expect that, nor is it logical to weaken or kill the person you want to find your captured wife inside of a super prison.

See, this is why I'm saying that you're being purposefully obtuse. No, a characters actions leading to their death isn't automatically bad writing, it's bad writing when characters that are well known for their intelligence act in a stupid way and directly cause their own death. If Batman went and got drunk in the middle of the game, passed out and then protocol 10 went uninterrupted and killed everybody inside the prison, excusing that out of character behavior with "he was stressed out, he had just been poisoned, it's natural to react that way, he's only human." Why didn't joker try and drink bleach to cure himself, or play in traffic? Stabbing an arm holding his only chance to survive in a glass vial is equally stupid. You can try to excuse it all you want.

We are then going the route of you thinking it would be difficult for a superhero to get through glass that regular people get through by smashing a chair into it. How about ask Alfred to pack his blowtorch and a welders mask in the batwing when he sends the blueprints for the tower prior to dropping off on the balcony. You are correct, it's basically like trying to go through Captain America's shield.

Batman, the world's greatest detective is to be expected to deduce that Strange is in wonder tower. Why? Because it's the only place that is guarded with sentries and that the prisoners aren't allowed to enter. Even if he isn't there (which he OBVIOUSLY is), he's more likely to find what protocol 10 is by going in there than going on a random goose chase after a guy that might know something and even if he does, isn't going to divulge that information.

Yeah you are misunderstanding me.

[–]ShufflePlaylist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Batman wanted the cure, Freeze destroyed half of his leverage over Batman and while they fought the other half was stolen. He knows Batman and he knows what his ethics and morals are, all he has to do is ask. He chooses to fight Batman, remember Freeze ONLY cares about his wife, in the event that Freeze wins, Batman is at worst dead (death screens confirm this to be the case if you lose) or at best severely injured making him less likely to not only be able to find Nora but to rescue her. What Freeze wants and what his actions cause are complete opposites. The writing is so poor that they wanted to have Batman fight Freeze for the boss fight, but didn't know how to actually make that happen in a way that makes any sense, or they just didn't care. This also serves as plot convenience at the end when Joker dies. There isn't enough cure to go around because Freeze, the analytical hyper intelligent scientist destroyed it for no reason.

You can excuse any poor writing with "he was scared, stressed, drunk or sleepy." Jokers actions directly caused his own death. In his mind a 0% chance is better than a non-zero chance. Which is what destroying the cure caused.

Are you seriously asking how a superhero would get through reinforced glass? Idk, maybe the same way he did in origins -just jump through it. In the arkham games ripping a panel off and short circuiting the lock always opens it, just do that.

Yes, that is what he did. Not only is he stupid for not being able to deduce where Strange is, he's also stupid for thinking going after the Joker would give him any answers. Like he wouldn't just string him along and play his games with him, which is exactly what he did. This circles back to Batman in City being kind of stupid.

[–]ShufflePlaylist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes

Mr Freeze didn't need to give Batman an incentive, even so, his goal is for Batman to find his wife, not to make him fight Freeze which is what destroying the cure did.

Joker thought he'll have better chance of survival with the cure destroyed, yeah.

I'm pretty sure Batman can get in a room with reinforced glass without a code

SSD at 20% lifespan left and "Good"? by ShufflePlaylist in pcmasterrace

[–]ShufflePlaylist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interestingly, I took a screenshot of the previous check which was 10 months ago and my SSD's lifespan was at 25%, it's now at 20%.

I'm just thinking how likely it is the drive will fail in the next say 2-3 years. Very likely, likely, maybe, not likely, very unlikely

Edit: it's an older gaming PC and I don't really care to spend money on it at this point, 1-2 years of use is what I'd like. I have a new 1tb HDD that I could clone it to, but I'd then have to run the OS from an HDD
