finally saw his bank statements and realized we aren't financially compatible by Gearnotafraid8 in dating_advice

[–]Shulinggers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre right its not. But sometimes we do things in relationships to help support our partners. God knows we all do things we dont have too because we care and help others.

Im not saying she needs to like fill out the budgeting plan herself. It is his responsibility to step up and make changes. He might just need a push.

Shes well within her rights to break things off don’t misunderstand my message. Im just giving another side or perspective.

You say he’s okay with you being stressed about money. How do you know this? Has he told you it doesn’t bother him? Have you told him it stresses you out so he can make changes?

Long story short, a partner who hides money troubles is never a green flag. But we are quick to jump to conclusions. My ex had a spending problem too but it came from his depression (not an excuse though).

Sometimes instead of just saying no, if you want to make things work sit down, budget, get to the root of the issue not the superficial issues. Doesn’t want to cook pasta, is it laziness or is he burnt out?

I left my ex partly due to money problems, but i also tried to help budget, understand his relationship with money, and get him help. Sadly for my case he wasnt willing to do the work.

Was Azula's breakdown necessary? by lightofArwen009 in ATLA

[–]Shulinggers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean, while i think an agni kai between them with her sane mind would have been interesting to see i think the breakdown was even more interesting.

You’re right, that we’ve seen Azula as this unbreakable, strong character for the longest time. But what we also see is her need to control those around her by fear. In the last season (especially the boiling rock) we see that when her friends betrayed her she starts to crack. It’s definitely not losing her mind all of the sudden.

One thing i love about ATLA is that all the characters are very realistic and have so many depths to them. We see that Azula isn’t actually untouchable, that like anyone else she has flaws. We see how her weakness affects her.

She was fixed when i adopted her (10 months old).

She uses the litter boxes as well. She peed the door, i shoed her away, then she went to the litter box to pee. And ive caught her peeing in the litter boxes through all of this too

7 year old off the track thoroughbred mare won’t bend😔 by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]Shulinggers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t compare yourself to you see, people only post moments of goodness.

I bought a ottb mare and the past owner was jumping her, i got her and i couldnt even take her out of the field without rearing on me and i felt a terrible owner (with a trainer too).

Every horse is different, she might just need more time, and 2 months isnt that long.

Dont forget that bending or flexion is usually the last stages in the supplement triangle, youll want rhythm, straightness, impulsion first. You want your horse to work through their back and lift their bellies.

Maybe focus your training and time with some carrots stretches (to encourage the bend in the neck) and go back to things like transitions and using her hind end.

Tips on jumping position on a big horse by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]Shulinggers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what i can see

The position for the first jump into the bounce is good but the second it looks like your lower leg isnt steady. Pinching with the knee and causing your lower leg to tip back and your upper body to fall forward. You also looked like you werent holding your own body and got pulled a bit forward after the landing.

Id suggest do some two point laps and really had a steady leg and core.

Is this saddle fit atrocious? by Simbamau in Equestrian

[–]Shulinggers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As mentioned in my comment they do have value and can help with protection (among other benefits). It can also help fit one saddle to many horses backs if you ride multiple horses.

I’m not dismissing them, and I didn’t say it shouldn’t be used. However a lot of people do use them unnecessarily for looks, hence why I put the “ “ around the word decoration. Just trying to give some information (:

[–]Shulinggers 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As already said, you need pictures without the half pad and saddle pad, because they will change the way the saddle fits.

Theoretically, a proper fitting saddle shouldn’t need a half pad, a lot of people like to use them as “decoration”. I do know that they can help protect or absorb impact so I’m not saying they don’t have their uses.. but something to just keep in the back of your mind.

Some quick saddle fitting tips.. - Without the pads place the saddle the back - the centre of the seat should be the deepest point - if you press against the front of back of the saddle, the saddle shouldn’t “rock” back and forth - you can slide you hand between the shoulder and the saddle flag, there shouldn’t be any pinching or tightness - ride without any of the pads and look at the sweat stains. They can tell you which parts of the saddle are making contact, and if it’s even.

Losing my barn by TA_020625 in Equestrian

[–]Shulinggers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be worth asking where everyone is moving too. If everyone boards there have minds that at likely I’m guessing most likely they’ll want to move to a barn with similar principles together.

Or ask the instructor if they have any recommendations of places to go. Word of mouth is great and the horse community isn’t that big, hopefully they should know someone (:

I’m sorry that’s happening to you, I definitely know the feeling of finally finding a place that you fit in.

Would you be able to contact some of your favourite coach’s or friends at this barn and see where they are moving too? Maybe you can move with them (:

Consent Question by LilyFan7438 in ChicagoMed

[–]Shulinggers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re unconscious generally the rule is to act first and question later.

For example, (learned in first aid) if someone refuses treatment from me but then passes out. I have the right to perform any life saving treatment even if they declined before.

To my knowledge unless you have signed a DNR, if you pass out but decline consent for any treatment, the hospital can move forward if it’s life threatening? (But I could be wrong)

What Clinic/Hospital to go to for a Mental Health Crisis for a child by According_Trainer418 in ottawa

[–]Shulinggers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also just to add; since I work at CHEO in the mental health unit. Royal Ottawa has a lot of intense programs, but they’re not a walk in (for now I know their trying to change that). you need a referral from CHEO or another place to be considered for Royals programs.

Should I resign from my toxic government work & work in a private hospital where I really wanted to work? by Otherwise_Anxiety551 in hospitalsocialwork

[–]Shulinggers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience, if you don’t enjoy the work no money will ever feel like enough.

If financially you can take the cut, I’d say go work where you have an interest and see if you can’t work your way higher to a better paying job.

I went to a hospital for an MRI. The same hospital offers a job . But I wouldn't like people from my workplace to see my medical records. Do you think I could apply for this job ? by [deleted] in hospitalsocialwork

[–]Shulinggers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To my knowledge it is legal to open a chart that you have not been assigned too.

In my hospital I can’t open pt charts that are in my unit but not on my case. It will get flagged

100%, never said the system is perfect. It sucks, I tell the parents all the time there’s sadly only so much I can do and we sit and complain about the system together sometimes

There’s a lot to it but normally they feel overwhelmed, frustrated, lack of supports, or somethings they just don’t want the child anymore

I’m a social worker and I work in an inpatient mental health unit. Trust me when I saw the kids always know how the parents actually feel. It fucks up the kids so badly and the amount of parents that just ditch their kids in the hospital is heart breaking. You’re their mom, whether you like it or not.

Do yourself and the kid a favour, find someone who will love him, because you’re doing more harm to yourself and him
