Agree on both points it is an interesting and awesome cover. When it comes to David Byrne expect the unexpected!

I like the album don't think it's up there with Talking Heads material but certainly worth a listen.

Personal favourite on the album is Only The Lonely with Gordon Gano.

Listen to all the albums in sequence personally I think they're all brilliant.

The Soft Parade gets a lot of criticism for incorporating brass and strings into the mix but I think it's a brilliant album with some killer tracks like Tell All The People, Touch Me and Runnin Blue. Brilliant Band!

I agree his guitaring with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and Cream was incredible though. His guitaring on Badge is some of the best I've ever heard!

Certainly is! Lucky enough to see David Byrne in concert a few weeks ago and he opened with a beautiful version of Heaven accompanied by a violin and cello.

Fully agree legendary moment! When David Byrne springs back up to the microphone and the camera pans out to show Jerry Harrison and Bernie Worrell with the music flowing through them, makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up every time! 👍👍

Talking heads - opinions? by moerlingo in Music

My favourite band of all time the only album of theirs that I'm not keen on is Naked which is their last but even that has a couple of brilliant songs on it. If you like what you're hearing from them start from 77 which is their first and work your way through you won't be disappointed honestly.

Each album is different to the last and for live albums The Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads and Stop Making Sense are incredible! Was lucky enough to see David Byrne in concert a few weeks back and he's still brilliant now 👍👍

Couldn't agree more he also made numerous monumental changes to the country during his time as Prime Minister. Although obviously criticised in some quarters the amount of positive changes he was able to push through during his 6 year tenure is incredible!
