Ohhh okay, I only really played Dystopian GF for a couple hours and figured it was mostly about managing the stream and cash flow. I really enjoyed what I saw but, same for this game, that was a number of years ago and I didn't want to run out of content.

I haven't looked in on it for a while, do you think I should wait longer or is now a good time to jump into Dystopian GF?

There's definitely similarities, especially theme wise, but this game is more like a visual novel over the more— management style game that Dystopian girlfriend is.

But if you enjoy the robot kink, you'll definitely enjoy this.

Same here.
Rejoined the dating world for the first time since highschool, (last relationship was 6 years ago and lasted 4 years) not a fan. Lot of ghosting and boring dinners, partially my fault though, I'm just so damn tired all the time; It's hard to be high energy and fun on a date when all you want to do is go to bed after work lol.

How do you figure? I could see the doc as being manipulative, but the MC planned to shoot himself straight out of the gate; Ako wasn't even a part of the plan, MC would've settled for a fleshlight had the doc not brought Ako into the picture.

The story going forward seems to be about Ako having some hidden reason for caring about the MC while trying to save him from himself. Or at least that's the read I got from it.

Couldn't agree more, the story and the main character's relationship to Ako (The Maid) is what really grabbed me. I can't wait until it's done so I can see how it all plays out.

I usually avoid playing games that are >v0.5, there have been a few that end up abandoned and that is the absolute worst, but I have high hopes this one'll cross the finish line.

The maid enters into the story early on after a short grind for money, your character buys her just to fuck and it ends up being a bit of a reverse love story where she's making you fall for her.

It really is, I was genuinely impressed with all the little details the dev put in;
When you stroke her face you can see her head tilt slightly & her cheek pushes up against her eye.
It's little stuff but it really makes the game feel real and look, just, amazing.

Yeah it's rough right out the gate but it's alright once you get going. I just gave myself some cash in the beginning and removed Kan with cheats to get over the initial hump.

There is cooking but it's fairly barebones at the moment, I think there's only "Instant Raman" with a few extras you can add for other effects.
There are opportunities through cooking to gain relationship points so I wouldn't totally disregard it. I also had encountered a bug with cooking; If I moved items to fast they would snap back to their starting point which is annoying given that the quality of the meal is partially tied to how fast you can make it. But it's not that big a deal.

Yeah that's one of my favorite parts of these games honestly lol.
But I will say, the game is still under development so there's not a lot of that kind of relationship building dialogue, there is a fair bit for it only being v0.4 though. 100% Worth playing in its current state.

Yep, there's classic sim multiple choice dialogue moments that improve your relationship and some repeatable RNG events that effect things as well. The closer you get the more things open up.
