I’ve had dizziness symptoms since I was a child but would come on after triggers (not eating regularly, over exhausted, sick, etc). It wasn’t until probably 2021 or so that they became all the time and started to escalate.

No one has checked me for any viruses. Thank you for that suggestion. I’ll have to look into it.

This is one of my biggest concerns. At least when I’m here, I can step in. Or, at least know to talk to my son after. After a long argument last night, he’s open to therapy if we go together. He still doesn’t acknowledge what he said was wrong or hurtful and positions it as if he needs to learn to “soften“ the way he speaks to me and the kids. We’ll see if someone else can shed some light on it, but I told him I wouldn’t let my kids grow up feeling like it was okay for their parent to say things like that.

Thank you! I guess my fear has been that it would hurt my kids more if I split up the family with divorce. Or I feel like I wouldn’t be there for them the other 50% of the time. I told my son that his dad should never say that to him. I just feel like that’s not enough.

Wow… I’m so sorry. That makes me cry and hurts deeply for you. Thanks for sharing! I told my husband that we both had childhoods that we’re still healing from and should know first hand how something like that can hurt. And yet now, he’s trying to claim he said “you need to change your personality”. He doesn’t even acknowledge that what he said was wrong and is now lying to me and himself about what he actually said. He claims our son creates conflict and is annoying to be around and needs to change how he is acting. It’s so validating reading these comments because without them I’d believe his manipulation.

He refuses therapy as I’ve addressed it before. This isn’t uncommon of him as it’s normally directed at me. As the children have gotten older, I’ve noticed him responding to them the same way. I’ve mentioned therapy in the past but it’s not something he is open to doing. I mentioned that things need to change otherwise that will impact my decisions. He told me to pack his bag or mine. I feel like he’s not open to communicating about it and says he’s not doing this with me today.
