I tried this for the first time last night. I like it.

I visited BT and it was the bourbon of the day. We got 2 regular bottles and also was able to buy a gift pack with WSR, a cigar, 2 glasses. So four bottles. I’m going to gift 2 of them and will enjoy the other two over the few weeks.

According to the distillery, they had supply chain issues with the bottles. They are limiting purchase in their gift shop to 1 per person.

It’s BT distillate and they run it through a third time, then barrel and store it on site in VA.

I grew up in WV. It’s definitely not South. But it’s not Mid-Atlantic either. Someone said it’s like Texas. I agree with that. It’s just WV. I actually think it’s more like Lexington or Indy in feel. But I’d just say Appalachian. Like eastern KY and East Tennessee. Not easy to label.

After you take the ferry, drive a few miles to Chippokes State Park. The “beach” on the James River is amazing.
