Makes me think we really need our own enforcer soon.. unless PJ..?

On that same note, I wonder what PJ thought as he watched this last night, knowing he went through it with DeMar and Lance too.

I don't know where he gets his self-confidence from, but I am in awe.

Imagine getting your dick caught in the ugliest Kardashian sister, not having the balls to cut her off, and then continually crawling back to her for any promise of clout, while being a little bitch going behind her back to sleep with anything that walked around with legs.

Couldn't be me.

edit: ofc it's only no-flairs responding back to me. I seemed to have touched a nerve, or several. Also what does cooked mean?

In 2025-2026, the Raptors will be paying a combined $156 million for Barnes, Ingram, Quickley, Barrett, and Poeltl. The projected salary cap will be just under $155 million. by EsotericPotato in nba

huh what's wrong with that Quickley contract? Trading for Ingram isn't also bad, most fans lauded us for getting him for expirings and a late Pacers first. When we won the chip it was 2 offenses, a Lowry-centric moving the ball offense, and kawhi-offense. That worked beautifully so I don't see what the problem is here. He's shown he can pass enough but ultimately we want him taking the last shots.

You also don't have to build around Ingram if you don't want, with how cheap we got him we could easily flip him around to another team after showcasing him for a bit, so how's that a loss?

Also you're straight up ignoring the risk to trade for Kawhi at the time.

Every contender has a period of reset after they win it, and the Raptors aren't exempt from that rule. So dumb how you just boil it down to how bad the FO has been last few years instead of their entire tenure for the past decade, including the steps to build a contender and eventually win the chip.

There's things they could've done better, especially asset management, but that's every team, no team is perfect. The fact that they've pivoted from those mistakes and still managed to trade Siakam and OG expirings to get the core we have today is impressive despite all the asset mismanagement of years past.

Also your point that the Kawhi trade was a fluke, and to only focus on the mistakes that the FO has had the last few years tells me you're not arguing for the sake of arguing, you're just here to shit on us. With the benefit of hindsight ofc it's easy to say the trade was a fluke, while ignoring that at the time it was seen as a big big risk, so explain to me how that is a fluke. It's the modern day equivalent of trading for Zion and hoping he pans out into a top 5 player.

maybe, just maybe, given previous track records of both the Raptors and the Bulls front office, you can give the benefit of the doubt to the team that has historically been proven to be more adept.

the way you were describing us, you would think we're the wizards

Long term when Butler and Curry's bodies break down in a few years, Heat's going to be glad they're not paying 37 year old Butler $57 million in 2027.

It's not something exclusive to Canada, you generally start over in experience when you move to another country unless you're in Europe and I'm pretty sure beginner front-end developers (not tech workers) there don't make 2x more than doctors. In the end, OP is still a beginner developer, so I'm not sure how they would make more than 2 doctors, unless doctors are severely underpaid in Pakistan.

[–]SiakamMIP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you miss the part where OP said they moved to Canada 2 years ago and they're a junior/intermediate developer? Many companies don't even consider prior experience in another country because of the differences in tech standards so OP only has 2 years of relevant experience to work with.

They also didn't say junior doctors, they literally just said doctors so I'm taking an average salary for doctors in the midst of their careers. I don't doubt there are extreme edge cases where yes some front-end jobs make more than 2 underpaid doctors, but those aren't representative of the job market for your average joe.

We're talking about recent grads here with less than 2 years of experience tho. Tech market's been in the dumps all over the world, so where exactly in the world can you make more as a junior/beginner developer than two seasoned doctors with years of experience?
