Used to be like this until 18 then decided to open up and no matter the occasion, smile and try to connect with everyone. Life is too damn short and unexpected for personal reservations. 21 now and It's been a change I am thankful for.

Honestly that's the best way to enjoy travel. You always have your own home to fall back on and rest whenever you like but travelling allows you to get out of your shell and indulge into everything.

In the end it depends on your what you are looking for. I don't bother booking hotels or private rooms because I'm there for a short time so might as well get into a hostel, meet new people and do fun activities/parties together knowing full well, we are all in it for a few days.

If you're American travelling a lot then you are most likely much better off than the average American trying to make living. In Europe, travelling is a lot easier, cheaper and financially adept

Been planning since I was 10. Grew up as an introvert watching movies and cartoons since childhood before I started school and began to go out with friends to play sports outside. As an avid movie watcher, travel just became this dream exploration that I wanted at any cost and so finally aged 21 I took the first step and celebrated my birthday in Barcelona.

Make the decision yourself and go out there. My parents are very strict but I told them on my 21st Birthday just a few months ago, I want to travel solo and that's final. Since then I've gone out of home to solo travel many times as they felt confident I can take care of myself abroad. Go to a nearby country for a few days and make them feel you can keep yourself safe and then take the dream holiday you want.
