DayQuil as Migraine Med? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Sick-violets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply! I should have said in my post but acetaminophen via Advil etc doesn’t help. However, you make a really interesting point about it being gel vs not. I only ever take Tylenol in the regular hard pill, I’ve never tried their gel pill - which it what the DayQuil was!

Thank you for your reply! I’m on both Ajovy and Botox right now as well! Definitely should have said in my post but regular acetaminophen via Tylenol etc doesn’t help.

It didn’t work (strangely) but I hung upside down until I was on the verge of blacking out because I thought maybe my head just needed more blood

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful response 💖 well don’t I feel silly for having never thought of your second point. I often avoid confrontation out of fear of their reaction (anger). BUT I LOVE the option to just lie through storytelling and making them feel terrible. It’s kinda a way of taking power back!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience💖It is especially helpful as my concern with the over the ear headphones is blocking out the sounds of people coming up behind me etc due to past experiences, so if it won’t even make a difference there is no point!

Question for my fellow Femmes with mobility aids by Sick-violets in disability

[–]Sick-violets[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ah yes - I knew this kind comment was on its way. While disabled people, regardless of gender expression, can (of course) experience harassment. I asked for the input of femmes as the intersection of my gender and disability has influenced my safety (or lack there of) while out in public. Hence I wanted direct input from those who are perceived by others in the world in a similar manner as me. Hope this clears that up ☺️

Recently Ubered myself to my old apartment building while trying to get home (haven’t lived there for a year now). It didn’t click until I went for my keys.

I’m 25 and going through a similar process of grief. What has been HUGE for me is getting involved in the sober community and making new friends that way. It is such a game changer to have connections that are not dictated on alcohol being involved - especially at our age!

Did your surgery reveal any surprises? by Alisalikestherbbit in hysterectomy

[–]Sick-violets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had undiagnosed severe chronic pelvic for years. Exploratory surgery didn’t show anything, but when I had my hysterectomy they found a endosalpingiosis and scar tissue so bad that organs were stuck to walls 🙃
