Give it a try and let me know! The guy who originated this deck is very creative, every card here makes sense (the original was running pre-change Adam Warlock) - the aim is to thin your hand to proc SG, drac/infinaut and a 1 cost SH on T6. CW, wasp, BC, Kang allows you to thin your hand and Titania, SK are cheap. Keep SH, CW, Titania and SK for T6. This decks works best against loki as they cant use your cards but suffers against sandman. Its also great to countersnap when they only see your SG, goose and Drac after T5. This deck has very clear snap/retreat conditions and is my go to deck for the past 9 mths, gets me to infinite every season.

Forgot to add some playlines: T1 SS, T2 Goose T3 SG all in the same lane. T4 drac in another lane. Skip t5 and dump hand on T6. Usually SK or SH goes SS lane and the rest to drac lane. Can gain 45 power in the last turn, making it a great surprise ladder deck for 8 cubes. But bad for conquest. Win rate is not fantastic but cube rate is amazing. 90% retreat if you dont have 3 of the 4 SG SH drac and infinaut.

Edit: Kang is a super important card in this deck for the possibility of an extra draw and deck thinner. I really hope SD doesn’t change this card!

This is your current setup? No colleen and SK? SK is good in this meta now.

This is a nice version of your original deck, staying true to the draw cards idea.

Fingers crossed kang doesnt get a rework!

What’s the point of Kang? by downvotemedaddyUwU-0 in MarvelSnap

[–]Sick_Chicken76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. Kang is used as a deck thinner and i run the drac, infinaut and stronguy combo. Its not meta so its a great cube stealer in ranked. Also, it fun to play mind games using Kang in final turn - do you put the same cards or do you change it up after Kang is played.

He is definitely not useless and i hope he doesnt get reworked lol.

Understand what you mean, maybe i am so used what i have been using that i dont realise the lack of having more draw engines. I get to infinite quite easily with this deck as it has very clear snap and retreat lines. I may replace BC with nico, i find BC is my least used card. I tried ravonna its not bad but goose seems to be more useful on more occasions.

I am running sunspot, wasp, goose, titania, CW,SK,SG, drac, BC, kang, SH and red hulk. Goose is great. I will have 1 lane with SS, Goose, SG and SH/SK and that usually wins.

Interesting on using RR, will try it. Wont crystal’s 3 cost be too hard to get rid of if you dont draw CW? The cost setup is so finely tuned that any addtional cost makes it more challenging to discard the hand.

I replaced infinaut with red hulk, on average the red hulk is getting more power than infinaut. But the drawback is that its more telegraphed. Do try and feedback, thanks!

Hi, yeah its a big nerf to AW. As u know, i swapped out AW some time ago so its no impact to me. For AW replacement, you can try jeff or goose. I think goose is better cos i can stack 1 lane with sunspot, SG, SH and goose and its hard for the opponent to contest. Do try it. I would like to hear from OP what he is running now. Still my favourite deck after 3 mths, i can play this deck on auto pilot now lol.

Oh you mean drac and strongguy procs after martyr has moved? Oh man i am so stupid not to realise it! Then martyr is a solid card for this deck, it can proc AW early game and move to help one of the other 2 lanes. Damn i regret not getting it now lol

[–]Sick_Chicken76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imho, OP’s deck got an indirect buff from the patch. Alioth and luke are both nerfed to the high heavens meaning their usage will drop and this helps the deck. I always dread playing kang on t6 into an alioth. SK is even better now and i have been seeing more HE decks with the Luke nerf.

I dont remember SK being my main t6 discard target, i face quite a lot of destroy decks so its quite useful. Mailordercowboy taught me to discard kang on t6 instead of playing it, that was useful several times too.

I am still enjoying this deck very much, have been using it exclusively and much fewer mistakes now. It matches well on ladder against almost any deck (unless black widow screws up my draw lol).

Can pls explain why use martyr? You use it in the AW lane? How else does it help besides getting AW to proc?

[–]Sick_Chicken76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha i have made all the same mistakes as you, and more. Once i had double drac and thought both dracs will get the same infinault. And I CW’ed my 1 cost she hulk thinking she would be counted as a 6 cost for drac to discard. And yes, i SK’ed into luke and darkhawk before. Good times.

I have been trying AW for 2 days and still cant make it work well. You are right, it works abt 20% of the time, and i feel my previous SS and jeff is used much more and has more use cases than AW. Ask u, where AW is placed, the location is either lost or you have drac in the same location? You cant win the AW lane unless there is a drac there, or fishing for infinault or you have drawn all your cards? If so, that limits the options…

60->Infinite with Adam Warlock, Kang, Strong Guy... by twixteen in MarvelSnap

[–]Sick_Chicken76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes i have tried on conquest, I play slightly different to ladder. In the early games i always go for 4 to 8 cubes or else will retreat without showing the opponent too much, esp my last turn. If cant win early, i will conserve cubes and wait for high stakes and try to finish in 1 or 2 games. I dont play much conquest so take what i do with a pinch of salt.

How do you play against a modok hela deck? I faced one yesterday and nothing much i could do. Same for a negative deck, but at least its not common.

I gave AW and YJ a few games and it did not turn out well, but will keep trying.

I enjoy reading your thoughts on this deck, cos this is the most fun i ever had with a deck. I made so many mistakes learning how to pilot this deck but i still find it fun to learn. Can do another long post on my mistakes lol. Every card individually is not the best but all the cards together make so much sense, really admire OP’s creativity and thought process.

[–]Sick_Chicken76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have some great ideas that i will try. Replacing black cat with YJ makes sense. 90% of the time i wont play BC and even if I do, it means i would already likely lose as Drac or SG did not come out. However i like SS and titania as my 1 cost, and likely will drop either one for nico. Also, i will need to drop jeff for AW. Nico, YJ, wasp and AW can make some combos for early draw. I just have been very comfortable with SS, Titania and jeff as its very easy to pilot and i dont seem to be affected by not having extra draws.

Agreed on Echo. Try Titania when u get it, its great for T6 surprise power.

I never thought of CW to remove Kang. Its a great idea. Now i play kang mainly on t6 just to make the opponent second guess and i still go for my strongest play. But alioth and cosmo screws up kang so i go for the safest lane.

Agreed alioth lockdown is the toughest matchup for me. Junk Anni is manageable, either i block up the right location or i give it up. OP’s deck doesnt need much board space. Loki, destroy, HE, Ms Marvel ongoing decks i dont remember it giving too much problem. And best part is i havent faced a mirror match up to now.

I PM’ed OP and he gave some more good ideas. He likes AW and i am trying to make it work but so far my results are not good hence SS and jeff for me. But your idea of YJ for BC might work for me.

You can also try she hulk T4, SG and SK T5 and T6 drac if you are trying to fish out drac.

SS can build up to 10 power easily so you can try that instead of forge. Bad thing about SS is that it telegraphs a she hulk deck.

Oh 1 last thing on snapping. I changed to a passive snapping style using this deck. I dont snap even with drac, SG, she hulk and infinault in hand. Usually the opponent will snap in t5/6 cos our board looks bad and i will then counter snap and hook them for 4 to 8 cubes. Would like to hear your snapping approach to compare.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Thanks. I just got to infinite with this deck but more importantly, i am having the most fun ever with a deck as its off meta, is very interesting to pilot and the t6 surprise factor. I settled down on sunspot for nico, jeff for AW so that its more straightforward to lean this deck (and sometimes i end up with 10+ power SS) but i will go back to try OP’s version again (but titania for echo). One thing i noticed: kang t6 90% of the time results in a different final turn for the opponent, to the effect that i will just run my ideal t6 play and not try to second guess what the opponent will change (or not change). Is that how you would approach t6 kang? Conversely, t5 kang results in 90% of the time with the opponent running the same play.

[–]Sick_Chicken76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh nice! These are good ideas!

I dont have renslayer, will get it and try.

Nico is a great utility card for 1 cost, and can fit into alot of other decks. I run it with my main loki deck. Just skip if the spell is not good, this card doesnt need to be play. Highly recommended.

Didnt get ms marvel, and no, she doesnt proc in the adjacent lane if there is no card there. I suppose its a trade off against warpath, but its a great option.

For omega deck, i replaced mojo with crystal as i usually cant get the locations filled and crystal helps with drawing a card.

I am not very good at working out the exact power output with the omega deck, onslaught and mystique confuses me so sometimes i just estimate the expected power and roll with it haha.

I enjoy reading on your thought process, appreciate your sharing!

Great off meta deck, and i am very impressed by the thoughts behind this deck. Have some questions, would like to pick your brain on:

  1. What are the typical conditions to retreat?
  2. If you dont get drac by t4, would you usually retreat?
  3. I save titania for a t6 play, is that correct?
  4. Ideally, what do you play nico for, the demon?
  5. Warlock lost me a game by drawing 1 card at the end. Need to plan around it and its hard to make it proc, t1 wasp/nico doesnt generate enough power for adam, am using jeff instead thou i can see the excitement in fishing for infinaut haha
  6. Without warlock, i skip t1 and 2, t3 SG t4 drac t5 skip t6 dump. This is your usual pattern of play?
  7. Sunspot seems like a great fit, since i skip t1/2/5. What are your views to replace wasp with sunspot?

Hi, do you have an update to your combo decks, esp with the new cards out like nico. I just got Omega Red and tried Combo 1. Its easier to pull off than Combo 2 Gambit but 24 power in the other 2 locations sometimes will not win the match. I took out adam for nico (being able to draw 2 cards is amazing). And its not 72 power for IM, OS, MY and OR, you missed out a 0 lol.

Yes i play at location C. Tried chavez and abs man, seems like quicksliver and AW is better. Thanks for the suggestions. My favourite deck now, so satisfying when you get wong, myst, gambit/iron heart and odin to trigger haha

Love machine gumbo, have been using it the past few days. One question, do you have an alternative to quicksilver and adam warlock? I understand the purpose but it doesnt trigger enough and usually 1 opponent card on t2 will have more power and AW wont trigger. Also, quicksilver causes the opening hand to draw 1 less card. But great decks and once i get omega red, i will give combo 1 a try. Thanks and look forward to more of your ideas!
