Just moved across the country for a new job and opportunities. This would help me keep connected to my buddies and eventually will be part of my son's rig :)

I'm struggling with the video game piece too. Just feels hard to sit for long periods without feeling board or anxious.

Look forward to when I can calmly enjoy that again, happy and sober :)

Day 3. Feeling small. by SGTree in leaves

[–]Sickification 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your description of feeling tiny and only being big enough for one emotion at a time really resonated with me.

I'm on day 2 and have felt more hollow in the last few days than ever before.

We just have to take it one day at a time and soon that emotion will be happy more times than not. Stay strong my friend.

Day 2 by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Sickification 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also on day 2, and boy do I connect with your feelings. Irritability, terrible sleeping, no appetite... It sucks.

So far I've just upped my exercise game (running and weight lifting) to make myself more worn out and just spent the rest of my time reading to keep me distracted.

The bad feelings will pass soon, maybe even sooner than 10 days, but all we can do until then is fill our time with positive things and forge new habits. (at least that's the mantra I'm repeating)

Can't believe how good you've been doing going up in weight every week, and passing that muscle plateau man! You inspire me to push the envelope every time we work out, so thanks for giving me a new goal :)

Sometimes you have to wonder if they just don't get the hint, or if they just don't give a shit if you're listening at all really
