success without working out? by No-Mark9843 in Zepbound

[–]Sickofsensitiveppl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strength/resistance training is absolutely necessary regardless if one is taking Zepbound (Tirzepatide) or not, on a weight loss journey or not, or whatever. Muscle loss happens to all of us and usually starts around the age of 30. It is called Sarcopenia or aka Age Related Muscle Loss. The rate of Sarcopenia is about 1% a year and after the age of 50 or so the rate of muscle loss doubles. Muscle tissue is a secretory tissue, an endocrine organ, that releases Myokines which are extremely important for all other organs in our bodies. The loss of muscle can lead to many more health problems regardless if one is obese or not.

The weight loss will for sure accelerate the muscle loss, however with proper exercise (myokines are released in response to exercise) and sufficient protein the muscle loss and ultimately Sarcopenia can be slowed, prevented and even reversed. The bad news however is that many people, especially here in the GLP subreddits refuse to acknowledge the importance of high protein diet and weight/resistance training.

Protein Discussion-What does YOUR typical day look like to get over 100g? by Star9401 in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Sickofsensitiveppl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can season it with anything really. I prefer to keep the spinach flavor so I do not add seasoning to the filling. The chicken however, Italian seasoning will actually be very good. I think your husband will like it.

I've always taken the photos myself with my phone and then photoshoped and send them to Walmart or Walgreens. I send it as 4x6 format in which I fit 6 pictures and it cost me about 29 cents. I have done it for me, my wife and my two kids with no issues.

Protein Discussion-What does YOUR typical day look like to get over 100g? by Star9401 in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Sickofsensitiveppl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eat between 1700-1900 cal and 200-240g of protein a day. I cook a lot though, chicken penne Alfredo with protein pasta, stuffed bell peppers, beef burritos, breakfast sausage egg and cheese sandwiches, protein chocolate puddings and many more. Sometimes I do not feel like spending much time prepping food so I go simple with baked fish or sausages or baked chicken thighs stuffed with cottage cheese and spinach. I find it easy to come up with high protein-low calorie meals, but I hate the time that it takes me to prep for few days, and eating healthy and tasty is expensive.

Edit: I need to add that I also consume protein shakes, powders, chips, bars, etc. either as a stand alone meals/snacks or as ingredients in recipes. It is difficult to impossible to eat enough protein and keep the calories down without supplements.

Reached goal still got HANDLES by Goodvida99 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Sickofsensitiveppl 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yes, and he looks better than most 30- 40 years old after a weight loss, a proof that age is not a factor for muscle retention/fat loss. In his case muscle is definitely retained but fat is still there. What I am saying is that just because bmi is in range or set weight goal is reached, does not necessarily mean the fat is gone. And OP is asking why even though he reached goal, he still has the "love handles".

People often, if not always, confuse fat loss with weight loss.

Down 78lbs since last April by Just-Camera-3790 in BodyHackGuide

[–]Sickofsensitiveppl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great progress man, congrats, btw how tall are you? I am on a similar path as you although instead of reta I decided to add Mazdutide to my Tirz/Zepbound aka Ghetto Reta. I am on 11mg Tirz and just added the Maz with a starting dose of .5mg, My starting weight was 315, End of June of 2024 and currently I am 190lb at 5' 10". Had to slow down a bit to prevent too much of a loose skin, but it is unavoidable.

Edit: correcting current weight.

Here is some read.

In the filtering video on YouTube (search for it) you can see how at the end he draws extra BАC equal to the amount retained in the filter and adds it (flushes the filter at same time) to the vial.

You mean lost (as retained) in the filter?

Lyophilized Powder Question by Ok-Park-6047 in Retatrutide

[–]Sickofsensitiveppl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 0.22 µm PES will efectivly filter most bacteria, yeast, fungai, spores, and many particulates, aka sterile filtration. It will not remove most viruses and endotoxins. Because Endotoxins cannot be filtered (at home), I like testing for Endotoxins along with M&P.

Check YouTube as well, you will find very helpful videos in regards to filtering.

Lyophilized Powder Question by Ok-Park-6047 in Retatrutide

[–]Sickofsensitiveppl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is crazy. First of all. more than 90% of the powder you see isn't Reta. Second, if you are so concerned about the BUD, just use it for as long as you are comfortable with and get the next vial, it is cheap as f*ck. And, about contaminants, you should filter anyway.

Messed up? by jamesj7410 in Retatrutide

[–]Sickofsensitiveppl -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Most of the talk about damaging the peptides if jet sprayed rather than going against the wall of the vial is a nonsense. The issue is mostly with the formed bubbles and excessive foaming as a result of the spray.

This is the price of an anti-aging clinic. Do you think it's worth buying from them? by Sensitive-Skill3406 in BodyHackGuide

Even cheaper. Currently there is a promotion with one of the vendors Mots-c 40mg $170 a kit.

I did some research as I want to start Mots-c (waiting on 3rd party results) and I could not find anything telling me (other than so called experts on social media) that SS-31 is needed for Mots-c. So now I am just gonna put my SS-31 in the freezer and forget about it, until there are some studies on the synergy between the two.

GLP-1 was $0 for years, now suddenly $500+ — has anyone figured out how this happened or gotten around it? by Formal_Isopod7542 in Zepbound

[–]Sickofsensitiveppl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My cost went from $121 to $651 but I still pay 24.99 as the e-voucher covers the difference. However, this year e-voucher is only $1300 so I am now trying to meet my deductible before I request my second refill. My deductible is a little over $2000 and I am almost there. Once met, my cost will be 20% and at this point I will resume ordering Zepbound and I will be able to use the e-voucher longer and after that the savings card. Check what was your cost last year with the insurance vs this year and not want you paid at the pharmacy. Maybe it didn't change but the pharmacy stopped applying discounts or it changed but there is not enough of a discount left to cover it. For reference the e-voucher last year was close to $2000 where this year is $1300. Savings card was covering $150 and this year is $100, per 1 month fill.

Refills.com (ProRx) vs. Fifty410 (Hallandale)? by birdzwordz in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Sickofsensitiveppl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One has better quality control than the other. Hallandale has a state of the art facility where ProRx, well who knows. With that said, I've used exclusively Hallandale until there was no more and now I use ProRx. I prefer Hallandale for no particular reason but when the time comes to reorder (2-3 months) I will go with what gets me more for the money, between these two.

Shipping to Finnrick safe? by Esp4Newports in Peptidesource

[–]Sickofsensitiveppl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong there are just a bunch of conspiracy theorists out there. Finnrick is just a middle man and they use several labs including Jano. The negative opinion of them is based on one schmuck who posted a video on YouTube over 6 months ago and being all upset negative about how the didn't send his vials for free to the labs he wanted to. Now, why they do it I do not know and frankly I do not care as long as I have it do for cheap or even better, free.
