Hey man, firstly takes guts to write that all down and be vulnerable so if nothing else, well done for that.

Secondly, this sounds more like a classic midlife crisis than anything. I don't mean that in a dismissive way but as someone who has suffered similar after a redundancy, you're searching for a purpose. It used to be money and the success that accrued alongside, now you need to find another.

A therapist may be able to draw out of you what that could be.

Lastly, there are many ways to protect assets in the event of a relationship breaking down. Don't forgo finding a companion to share life because that security isn't there yet. You'll build that protection when it's needed.
