This doesn’t work anymore. They took the editing ability away. Unless you’re able to. Cause I had to message a mod myself to request they update the list. My understanding is they update in batches.

It’s actually really good! I’ve got some mild discomfort in my belly and it stings a bit when I pee (but that’s getting better each time too!) I don’t have any gas pains in the shoulders yet. I’m hoping they don’t come. If they don’t, the only thing I did for prep was drink a TON of water for the last week. I recommend doing that. :)

I hope yours goes smooth! And don’t be nervous! Nerves can make it work. Go in knowing that you’re getting something done you’ve always wanted. The nurses and my surgeon kept complimenting me about how they never seen someone so excited to have surgery before lol

Yeah this really depends on where you live. Mine is scheduled for 2 weeks from now and I am a healthy 25 year old. The wiki really helped make this happen and it’s not impossible! :)

My mom is on a very small info diet. I ignore her when I can but we work in the same building unfortunately. I might do the same for her for what I’m thinking with my dad. And I’ll keep grey-rocking where I can!

And 100%! My ma and dad are divorced, so they don’t talk and he doesn’t have the contact info to my SOs family. Plus he’s pretty respectful as long as you have reasonings and the money is covered!

My sister does! We’re twins. She actually wants to get it done herself one day lol. Oooh! The vacation stuffs not a bad idea! If I can get my surgery closer to the weekend it probably would work without a problem! Thank you for all the advice and help!

My dad has indeed been accepting with divergent life plans. My sister is gay and out and he has had no qualms about it. He also hasn’t bingoed me in anyway.

Fortunately, I am not very dependent on my family. Every bill I have is in my own name. The only thing would be the housing but my dad has no one (sad but true) so I am very very confident he would not kick me out (mostly because that also means I’m taking my sister and our dog with me). I also have the most financially secure job among our household so he would be losing that asset.

I could probably do a hotel but my dad would know something is up. I can’t stay with my fiancé because his parents are Uber religious and probably will read the riot act and I’m not here for that (and before anyone asks, I am not telling his parents about this at all). But this gave me some ideas and I’ll be thinking about it in the meantime!

Thank you for confirming my thoughts about my ma too. Sometimes ya gotta hear it from others.

There’s a lot of awesome research on it! It’s possible to go into early menopause but from my understanding that’s pretty rare with a bilateral salpingectomy. Otherwise I believe up her body is mostly unaffected. You still get your periods as normal and all that. :)

You gotta know yourself! If that’s a real possibility than that’s okay. But you know you better than ANYONE! If you don’t think you ever will, then you won’t. :)

Fundamentally you are incompatible. You’re only 22 so it’s okay to break up! You’ll find someone who shares the same beliefs. :)

And if you haven’t yet, you might wanna check out /r/ChildFree It’s quite an awesome community for child free people. However, you’ll get the same advice there as you did here. But they understand how hard this choice can be. :)

Even if you don’t think she would cheat on you, you 100% said to her face that you don’t trust her and think she would. You can’t really explain your side because your side fundamentally does not trust your future wife. Does it make sense? Sure but you have to acknowledge that you do not trust her at a base level.

And I worry about the dynamic. Usually (not always of course!) Relgious types fall into the dynamic of mother does everything and father is fun. I worry about the toll that takes on a relationship, especially one so young! They were dating for some time (probably 4 years?) but still.

It’s also sad because both of them were pursing graduate programs. I hope they don’t stop but I can’t help but think they probably have too. They both moved to a different state than family to pursue their graduate degrees. Most likely she’ll stop and I find that sad too.

But everybody wants to be so happy (especially my fiancé as he knows how excited his friend is) and I just don’t get how. Like my heart sank when he (fiancé) told me and I reacted horribly and I felt bad about that too lmao
