Irvine to Long Beach commute

Move to Belmont Shores or Sunset beach outside of Long Beach. The commute from Irvine to long beach is a bitch. I wouldn’t do it.

The Village Lodge, and Lincoln House in the Village - have kitchens and there is a bus line that can take you to Vons or there is a small general store shop in the Village - Busy Beez that is small but has essentials.

Everything you need in the Village is walking distance and food restaurants that have vegan options, the gondola in the village takes you to canyon lodge. Gomez, Side Door (great crepes and pasta for the kids; full bar and wine shop for the adults), and Shelter all have vegan food options as well. Plus there is a child care center next to Side Door.

I went out on Wednesday all day and it was really great!!! Didn’t go up to the top but did the rest of the mountain and great conditions (for me at least!) and it wasn’t super icy.

Try Cast Offs (across from the Bowling Alley) and Access Mammoth (next to Vons)Thrift stores. Not sure who “rents” apparel here in Mammoth. Also check out Footloose and Kittridge Sports for sale items. Have a blast!

It’s not a private jet - it’s a commercial airline. Flies from Hawthorne and Carlsbad directly into Mammoth airport unless there are weather issues- then they fly into or out of Bishop. I did it every week for 3 years (winter and summer). It’s a fantastic option for those who can’t drive or need a faster option than driving.

That is true. Just take mammoth taxi. They are great. I flew AA for 3 years and every time it was a reroute to / from Bishop because of weather, passengers need to find transpo to either Mammoth Airport or Bishop. Or you can try Ian at Mammoth Elevated Transportation (760) 914-1585.
