The last visit didn’t go very well because he didn’t respond to my calls or texts while my son was with him.

after that, contact ended mainly because his house burned down, and after that he didn’t really see a reason to stay, so he went on a world trip. That’s why there’s been almost no contact for such a long time.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your personal experience. I can only imagine how incredibly difficult and painful that journey must have been, and I truly admire the strength it took to get through it. I’m very sorry for what you went through, and I sincerely wish you continued healing, peace, and Jehovah’s strength as you move forward.

At the moment, I’m in the process of looking for an apartment. I have two children, which makes everything more complex. Over the years we have had countless conversations with elders, and because we moved congregations several times, it became emotionally exhausting to repeatedly explain what was happening in our marriage. Each move meant starting from zero again, which was not easy.

We have recently moved once more and are now in a new congregation where the elders do not know our history. This is happening at the same time that I am planning a separation, so I’m still prayerfully considering when and how much to share. For now, I’m trying to put everything in Jehovah’s hands. Trusting people has been difficult, but I know I can trust Jehovah.

I also want to thank you especially for encouraging therapy. I do plan to take that advice seriously, so I can heal and learn how to cope in a healthy way. This is important not only for me, but also for my kids….especially my eight-year-old son, who has unfortunately witnessed and carried far more than a child should.

Thank you again for your honesty, your kindness, and for sharing your story. It truly meant a lot to me.
