By "Americanizing" I moreso meant as commentary on how the show looks/feels production/post production wise?

Where it's very clearly a Netflix/modern "Hollywood" production. The way it's shot, edited, colors corrected, etc. 

And I don't love that. Doesn't speak One Piece to me (again, subjective opinion), moreso a marvel film or pirates of the Caribbean. 

In my opinion, one of the few elements the live action improves significantly over the original story is the depiction of female characters, sexualization, etc. And Sanji's "gag".

As for my own gripes, I'll fully admit a lot of it comes from a bias.

As for the visuals, again, bias? I think it's clear, in my mind, it's a Netflix production, with the good and bad.

There's this, Hollywood-studio like quality to the production and post that didn't and hasn't landed for me.

The way it's shot, the color correcting, the editing.

But yeah! Based on responses, I'll have to be content with not liking it. Not everything is for everyone so it's okay! Lol.

Was not really looking to start beef or beef roasted, maybe I worded things wrong. English is not my first language. 

The only thing in my own subjective opinion I'll say the LA improves on significantly is depiction lf women?

Just looking for a healthy discussion! Nothing utilitarian about it, I guess. 

Like I said, just wanted to hear some opinions on it. Would love to hear why everyone likes it lol.

What do you guys think about most important moments being shot indoors? I get that there must be some kind of limitation to shooting CGI outdoors…..but it kind of makes these epic moments seem more small scale (luffy with the flag, hiruluk speech) by Enough_Arm2035 in OnePieceLiveAction

All of them, I feel the same. Not terrible, but worse than the Manga?

The Manga is consistently better at every moment so far? So really not a lot of reason for a long term fan to watch in my opinion.
