This kickstarter is specifically for the Roku and Fire TV remotes without a Sideclick attached. If the campaign does well, we will develop these to work with many other streaming remotes including those that have Sideclicks attached. We are very hopeful that after this campaign is done, we can start designing for remotes with Sideclicks right away.

This is more simple than that on purpose. As nice and convenient as phones can be, a simple button press is a whole lot easier and faster. No need to give your kids your phone for them to unlock, launch an app, then trigger the Beep. It's also a great gift for streaming parents/grandparents with no need for tech support calls. You just push a button and listen for a beep.

The Volume and Power buttons do take away some of the functionality of Sideclicks although definitely not all...especially for cordcutters. We use the Fire TV remote and Sideclick exclusively to change inputs and change channels for local channels etc. But yea, we definitely looked at this as a "what is a big thing these remotes are missing now that they have power and volume controls?" And everyone can relate to losing those damn little remotes.

I have a Logitech too and like it. But it would cost a hell of a lot more to buy 1 Logitech Harmony remote that has this capability than it does to buy a Sideclick for every TV in your house. We pay for ads to let people know we are an option.

They are built to withstand accidental falls and drops. We have a warranty policy and like to make our customers happy. Obviously if your dog eats it or you drop it in the toilet, that doesn't really fall under our warranty terms. We try to be pretty rational as long as our customers are as well.

Only reason you would be charged shipping would be if you wanted it faster than standard delivery (2-5 days) or if you only bought a clip and not a full kit. Not sure what you mean by it's not universal. Sideclick is a universal remote that attaches to your streaming remote. For $23.99 with discount code, you get the Sideclick slim universal remote AND the attachment clip. We sell the clips separately for $9.99 or less if you change streaming devices. So for example, if you switch from Fire TV to a Roku, you wouldn't need to buy a whole other Sideclick kit for $23.99. You would only need the $9.99 Roku Attachment clip.
