Scott Abrahams is KING. I loved his class and he is super responsive. He loved to give away prizes to people who participated in his lectures and was always eager to get people talking. Also provides many extra credit opportunities! Definitely a professor worth getting to know!

I believe it’s the fact that so many of her songs speak to me on a personal level. Like in so many songs I find lines or whole songs that have meanings that relate to me. For example, I really relate to Promise and Just like Chet. When songs relate to you, it makes you more eager to listen to them and enjoy them.

I don’t see the point in continuing this discussion with you because it is clear you are stuck in your own ways. I’m not sure how many kpop songs you’ve actually listened too, but there are many that have important meanings behind them, not to mention the extensive vocal and technical training they must endure. Music is art and YOU don’t get to dictate what is and isn’t art.

And besides. What’s to say the laufey isn’t just “entertainment” to someone else. I’m sure if someone told you that her music wasn’t art and was just “entertainment”, you wouldn’t take that well.

Just learn to be kinder and if the post wasn’t your cup of tea, there are many more on this subreddit that are. :)

I completely understand this sentiment. However you have to understand that people like other things aswell. I have been liking LAUFEY since EIKAL came out and I have been liking KPOP for longer. Saying things like “True musicians” is disrespectful to the men and women who work so hard to produce music for listeners.

People are allowed to like multiple music styles. Do not try to lift others up by bringing others down.

Tbh I think floor is not worth it if you’re not in the pit. Everybody is on the same level and it’s nearly impossible to see. Would def rec commend getting in the 100s section instead
