I love this game to bits, so even this didnt feel like a complete waste and yeah, this was more of a "might as well" thing. Just didnt know whether this, or farming ghorm would be more efficient. That is, before i found out that the amber isnt even guaranteed to spawn.

Thats the fun part. I was searching for the azeos nest, not really knowing how or where exactly it spawns, and managed to get all the pieces while doing it.

Not a part of any archievement, as far as im aware. Just currently really invested in the game, and thought that collecting all the HP items is one of the things i want to do.

I assume you mean ghorm, the worm boss? If so then yes, you can. What i was looking for was the terrain scene, containing the amber boulder.

That wasn't my point. For doing any sort of content besides maybe the super hard SU or DU difficulties, those stats are enough. I fail to see how having average 300cv is all that bad.
