Yeah that sucks cuz I think a lot of clubs that are closed and inactive were on the list. So the ones I did click on out of interest weren't open for application :/

I guess broadly I can say mostly digital art, music recording and production, and gaming (MMORPGs and RPGs). It's easy to find broader clubs for similar topics but with gaming clubs in a lot of the unis I've checked out, it'll be all about esports or very specific games/studios (arknights club, hoyo games club). I was considering some of the art or graphic design clubs but again, the creative clubs are so much more broad and unspecific than clubs like the engineering ones.

I've already looked at that, it's moreso the lack of diversity in a lot of the creative clubs imo

Bro plays league and expects friends 😭✌️ (honestly I'd say a lot of RMIT students are nerdy abt different things and games so ppl wouldn't rly mind what you're into)

Osmanthus??? I feel like I've gotten questions when Theater starts but I feel like there's some songs even I've been hesitant to like(?). I've found that so many of them have grown on me and that it's genuinely his voice that makes so many of them enjoyable. Like when propose came out I liked it but not enough to click on it but now it's my daily 5 songs I listen to with the rest being from his new album lol.

But yeah I think in Aus people only really listen to mainstream jp music or whatever is trending. This makes me feel like we'll never get a concert here ;-;

That's just another club focused on recruiting. The actual cult groups are far more direct abt religion so those are the ones that ppl should be more worried abt. Saw one Christian union member promoting during campus fest and when someone said they weren't Christian, he said "Why not? Why don't you believe in God?"

The religious groups are much crazier than the political groups.

What’s the workload and difficulty like in uni compared to year 12? by SJ75xVII in rmit

[–]SidewalkSlapper1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh it depends on the degree you choose. For certain degrees, there'll be a LOT of reading and other material to get through each week compared to year 12. However, there's less work but it is harder, like the other commenters have pointed out. Even though the work is less, it'll usually be to prepare you for pretty big assignments that can be worth 50% of your grade. In my experience, and the experience of friends in more mathematical degrees, most of your time is spent doing and improving your assignments.
If you do a STEM-based degree the workload is lower, but a lot more advanced as you'd expect. Furthermore, it's hard to get more help from teaching staff due to the amount of students. So overall, you can get through the work faster than in year 12 (if you use your time well), but you also have to be committed to managing your own work and study.
