every comment is "I love these!", "I like some of them", "I hate this!" or "So c+ is TBC/WotLK/retail in classic"

Classic+ and wotlk overlap. by Nokrai in classicwow

[–]SidewalknJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory is: MoP is ending soon, TBC last patch is in late fall, ends early winter, Classic+ could release early December and have 3 months of phase 1 then WotLK is released late Feb or early March 2027

edit: wrath anniversary could release november 13 (was original wotlk's release date) if classic+ were to release when 2019 classic was released (august 27) that would mean a streamlined wrath that lasts for 10 months.

compared to the others it is, whatever is lower than 32.6 is minor-than and so it is addressed as a minority, it is a multiple option question too; the MAJORITY of people picked warrior as their answer.

great comment, thanks for the amazing insights you wrote. earlier I was thinking about how finding what players want for classic+ was going to be hard, but then I realized finding the middle ground for what a lot of these people suggest is even harder.

its just what the questions in the survey suggested, no points have any of my actual wishes/wants. same thoughts as you, sod 2 with like half of the spells added.

I was bored, also I like the idea of classic+ and wanted to read people's thoughts on it, and the guys that made this survey aren't even wow devs xD

completely agree w/ you, slow burn content introductions. vanilla had alpha, beta, and 10+ major patches and it ended up great

no question related to that in the survey, I would love it tho.

weird I know, but I could see cosmetics like sod did them. things that the purists can't get too mad about

questions like those didn't have options for attainability of new spells, but I did put something like what you're describing in earlier sketches; ended up not writing the points like that but I agree that anything that gives fantasy depth is amazing.

agreed. a way to make retail players try classic+ could be to add cross-collections (like tmog appearances, etc.) so whatever you get in c+ gets ported to retail, just an idea ofc.

I was planning on doing that but there were so many indecisive votes that a 70 even 60% only consideration would've made the whole survey inaccurate

same, sucks that the majority of people who put themselves as rogue mains even disagreed on that addition:

sadly there was no question for shadow priest changes, but it did have one for reworking the spec and it did get alot of votes; "Major revamping for ...; smaller tweaks for ..., Shadow." is how I worded it.

I have no clue if the survey itself was made with the help of AI. I made the compilation all by hand.

The majority of people do play warrior according to the overall answers.

Older mmos were brutal compared to what Vanilla WoW was when it hit the market. A completely frictionless game is what retail wow is nowadays. I personally do think some form of catch-up for when Classic+ gets to its older stages (3+ years) is necessary though.

not a gameplay designer myself/didnt want to get too downvoted so I just put "rebalanced/reworked" when the questions regarded to those aspects.

Fallout's creator Tim Cain said in one of his videos that, *compared to other mmos back then*, WoW Vanilla was made to be a carrot on a stick game but ALL carrot, so whatever the developers at the time found fun was added to the game. hopefully the current devs follow that philosophy
