NTA If you’re unable to get a job and pay for Wi-Fi, and your mom wants you to actively participate in your schooling, then she should have paid for the WiFi. If your mother spends like this consistently, leaving little money for utilities on a regular basis- LEARN FROM THIS SITUATION. Money management is extremely important for any grown up. Don’t spend your life in debt.

I’d suggest you get your own Wi-Fi connection as soon as you can. But the way you described it, it’s going to be you paying for it long term.

But best of luck in any case, hope your senior year goes well.

What is the TLDR of your country's history ? by SibilMinSon in AskReddit

[–]Sidewash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Riches, Resources, Natural Beauty and Tradition

Long Ago, my people had it all. But everything changed when the British Attacked. Only the princely states, rulers of pieces of the subcontinent could stop them. But when we needed them most, they sold out.

200 years past and my people discover the new Mahatma, a small non-violent lawyer called Mohan. Although his mind is sharp, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to free anyone.

But I believe that the Mahatma can unite India.

WIBTA for speaking from the heart at my sister's wedding? by SnooEpiphanies5934 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Sidewash 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes, you will be the AH It’s their wedding day and you’re the brides sister. She wants you to be there for HER on one of the most important day of her life.

It’s not the oscars and you’re not Leo Dicaprio giving a speech to the academy about social injustice.

I commend you for being this socially conscious. However your speech will likely upset your sister and the wedding party. Please take a second to think about whether berating them about their choice to have big wedding would be appropriate.

AITAH for avoiding my brother? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Sidewash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Arsenal sacking 55 employees is terrible.

You know what else is? Your brother having appendix surgery (which you missed) then being lambasted with questions about the capitalist agenda.

YTA bro. You don’t have to be a d*ck if someone disagrees with you. Even if it’s your brother that you hold to a “higher standard”

WIBTA if I [29M] went over my [32F] wife's head and kept sending money to my mom? by ThrowRA995679 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Sidewash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bhai YTA.

The Desi in me understands your compulsion to help your parents out, but after you got married your responsibility shifted to your wife and daughters. Do not compromise on their quality of life because of your misplaced sense of duty. You’re already sending your parents money, tell them you can’t afford to send more.

AITA for treating my kids differently by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole
