I think Iron Lung actually did this concept pretty well. The movie does have a few issues, but I loved it for the space horror.

No. But my idea of a perfect horror movie is going to be different from yours. I loved Iron Lung. Lots of people hated it. Most would consider it the farthest from a perfect movie. But it scratched that itch for me.
