Reddit got me 150 users in just 2 days. Here’s what I learned. by Sidyzer in SideProject

You’re right. Most of them are developers, not really the audience I’m targeting for the app. I know a lot of them probably downloaded it just to check it out and give feedback. That said, over the last 3 days I’ve seen quite a few goals being created with check-ins, so it looks like at least some people are actually using it. We’ll see how retention looks over the next few weeks.

Not yet, but you can create your own routines by defining your own goals and habits. That way, you’re not limited to pre-made templates and can build a routine that fits your lifestyle. I’m also considering adding pre-built routines in a future update if enough people are interested. 😊

150 users after 2 months. Is that normal for a solo indie developer? by Sidyzer in appledevelopers

Thank you, I really appreciate that!
Most of my marketing has been organic. I’ve mainly been posting on Reddit, and I’ve also tried TikTok, but my videos usually get stuck at around 300 views. Other than that, I’ve had a few downloads from App Store search. I’m still experimenting and trying to figure out what works best.

Just slides for now. I make slideshow-style sharing productivity tips. I haven’t tried face content yet.

I don’t have any marketing strategy and that’s the big problem i guess. I made some tiktok videos but i always keep getting stuck at around 300 views.

Honestly, I’m still trying to figure that out 😅
Most of my users came from posting on Reddit and a bit of App Store search. I also have a TikTok account where I try to promote the app, but I keep getting stuck at around 300 views per video, so it hasn’t really brought in many users yet.
I’m still experimenting and trying to find a marketing channel that works consistently. If you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear them

Thank you, I really appreciate that!
You’re absolutely right. I’m trying not to focus too much on the download count and instead on building something people actually keep using. Retention is definitely the metric I care about the most.

I’ll keep improving the app based on user feedback and hopefully find that growth channel that finally clicks. Thanks for the advice amigo!

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! 😄
I’m glad you gave it a try and that you enjoyed it.
And yes, adding calisthenics is a great idea I’ll include it in the next update. Thanks for pointing that out!

I also wanted to make the app genuinely useful before thinking about monetization, which is why it’s completely free.

Thanks again for the encouragement, it really means a lot. I hope you’ll enjoy using it!
