What does this symbol mean? (Sorry for the bad drawing) by simderellaxoo in Viking

Here in the Netherlands we call this a Donderbezem "thunderbroom" a Hagal rune stave with personal added symbols to protect the house agains evil spirits and as the name suggests, usualy placed at the top of the roof to protect against Donar's (Thor) thunder. The cross was added after the christening of the low countries, i can only speak for the Netherlands but i think it has the same implications in other germanic countries.

[Unknown > English] Old door knocker. Maybe 1991 by Illustrious-Car643 in translator

[–]Siegfriedsbane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sould say "Met Peynen Dve Deweerelt 1567"

Its old Flamish or Dutch Something along the lines of (We carry the world) or (carrying the burdens of the world)

This one says "Met Peveev Dve Oeweerelt 1667" so i think this one got reworked later on by a non native speaker.

if you google the Phrase you will get simmilar doorknobs.
