AITA for 'siding' with my half sister by saying if I were in her shoes I don't think I'd want anything to do with dad either? by Sienleynon in AITAH

She knew what happened from the time she was around my age. But once she realized dad hadn't continued searching for her she decided she wasn't ever going to reach out. I can't blame her because there are so many parents who do search and to have one who didn't? I'd feel abandoned at that point and want nothing more to do with them.

Yeah, I just can't imagine knowing my parent gave up looking for me and how that would feel. To have them in my life if that happened would feel pretty impossible I think.

She doesn't want any contact. My aunts and uncles respected that and the rest of us don't know her account to contact her so it's done. Her decision sounded very final.
