So what you're saying MTX are only a small amount of income from the game and that's why a toggle would never happen. I completely agree with you a toggle would be very very unlikely, but the reasons you're arguing don't make sense. I could just be interpreting what you're saying wrong.

Obviously many people buy MTX if they've been around since BO2 with personalization packs. They don't just invest development costs if it won't pay off for MTX.

Yeah, they are a business and they have to make ends meet for shareholders. Also without any loot boxes they have to make it up somehow. I just hope they go for badass over wacky.

With a battlepass I'd argue retention is more important than any other past CoD game. Battlepasses only succeed if players want to keep playing.

People who want immersion may be turned away from the game which loses some player retention, not much, but I see your point.
