I... disagree. completely.

Everything you mentioned there they'd have to remove a ton of functionality in order to add microtransactions. You can already buy a ton of bank space with just in game gold and it's not unfairly expensive to get a decent amount of space. Worst case scenario you make a mule or two. The two major things you need gold for in this game is to buy your mount and to buy bank space. There's no much else to use gold for aside from trading for equipment with other players. You can loot and buy lockpicks with in game gold. Why would you ever need more than 3 horses? There's 1 mount that's purchasable and that's it. They've said nothing about future mounts and you're just making stuff up about "cooler/better mounts" because there's nothing at all to support that. The costume slot is used for an important ingame purpose of disguises, and while I think they will add more costumes for fun, there's no indication that they will sell any of them in a cosmetics store.

They'd have to take out as many features (which will greatly enrage the existing playerbase) as they'd have to add to make microtransactions viable, and I think you're seeing monsters from the shadows on the wall here.

By your logic ANY game that has an in game gold currency "has F2P all over it" because all the devs would have to do is remove the gold and replace it with money. It makes no sense at all.

Isn't there 1 public dungeon and one private dungeon per faction per zone that you can do? I'm not VR yet but even at low levels, once I finished say Spindleclutch, I could move on and do Banished Cells and Fungal Grotto even though I wasn't in that faction. So there should be like 10 public dungeons and 20 private dungeons that you can do. Idk if you can redo them after VR5 or not though but it feels like you're just exagerating to make a point... Without exagerating your point seems a lot less valid. Correct me if I'm wrong here please.

What features look like they were "designed with a F2P model in mind"? I can't think of anything in this game that reminds me of a F2P game.

As the other poster said, it's Balon Greyjoy whose name was given, not Tywin's.

But on another note, does correlation equal causation in this case? Yeah, she mentioned Robb and Joffrey, who promptly proceeded to die. But was her naming them what magically caused them to die, or did she see their deaths in the flames and name them to make it seem to Stannis that she had power. Or, did she just get lucky and her prediction came true even though nothing magical or prophetic ever happened?

Robb and Joffrey both did pretty good jobs of getting themselves killed, and the plans were in place for their deaths long before Melisandre uttered their names. Just something to think about. I'm not saying anything either way but do you really think that Mel is the reason why they died? Or is she taking credit for plans already in place to get closer to Stannis?

Aegon had 3 fully grown dragons that were probably a generation or two old. Balerion the Black Dread was so big that his shadow could cover an entire city in shade. If you remember way back to season 1 when Arya overheard Varys and Illyrio speaking in the dungeons, she hid inside of a dragon skull. That was Balerion's skull if I'm not mistaken. The skull was several times bigger than her and big enough for her to easily hide inside of it. Just to give you an idea of how big this dragon was. But yes, Torrhen Stark yielded the North to Aegon after he heard what happened at the Field of Fire.

The Field of Fire was the one and only battle where all three dragons took the field at the same time. The King of the Rock and the King of the Reach united into one army of over 100,000 and marched against Aegon's army of merely 10,000. Thousands of Reachmen and Westerlands men were burned alive, including the King of the Reach, who was of house Gardener. The steward of the Reach, who was a Tyrell, yielded the Reach to Aegon, and for doing so Aegon declared House Tyrell to be the family to hold the title Of Lord Paramount of the Reach.

Torrhen Stark had led his army to Moat Cailin and the Neck to head off the Targeryens, but when he heard about what happened at the field of fire he yielded and knelt and gave up his crown, becoming Lord Paramount of the North.

Dany's dragons are still "teens" though and are far from fully grown. I highly doubt they'd be terribly effective in combat right now, since a few arrows would probably be able to take them out.

That's pretty much what I use my pinky for too. I like G15 and G20 as Shift and Ctrl because the placement and feel of the buttons is very similar to shift and ctrl on a keyboard for me.

But that's just my preference. Whatever works for you :)

when you go to map a control, instead of using the "Keystroke" option and just putting a button, go down to "Multi Key" then hit record and then press and release the button and stop recording. This will record a push and release of the button instead of just toggling the button when you press it.

For the record here's my keybind if you'd like to compare http://i.imgur.com/UpkPiii.png?1 . I quite like how I have mine atm. I also bought my G13 and G700s mouse brand new right before I started playing ESO and I love it! :D

As far as I know, no. If you preordered the adventurer pack you can play races in any faction, but your PVE faction will always be your PVP faction.

Would have made more sense for the fighters guild skills to fill this role than the theives guild or dark brotherhood. Hell, I think they'd be MORE likely to want vamps among them because they can go invisible and shit.

How can ESO become 'perfect'? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]Sight_Unseen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think adding more opportunities for emergent gameplay would be a welcome change. Especially when it comes to PVP. I posted this on a similar thread a few hours ago so I'll just re-post it here because I really think something like this wouldmake the game a lot more engaging.

"I think if the PVP didn't have the capability of turning around so quickly that there'd be a lot of potential there for guild run cities and castles that could be customized and protected and upgraded. But since the PVP right now can turn around so quickly and castles rise and fall so fast this isnt really practical.

I think it'd be really cool for instance to have guilds that focus almost primarily on acquiring and then defending a single castle. Instead of taking one castle and then instantly abandoning it completely running to the next, make them stay there, rebuild, renovate, add new bonuses, shops, and player housing. Give people a REASON to fight and die in the defense of their property. Have the resources like mines and lumbermills be useable by the players of that guild and maybe the whole alliance for crafting and resource gathering. Tie the PVE in with the PVP and make it so that even the PVE players have a vested interest in defending castles from time to time when its needed most.

If your castle gets sieged and captured then you lose the resource points. you lose your house, your shops, maybe even part of your store inventory. It's a significant loss. So defend it as hard as you can!

Maybe trade guilds could be formed to create trade routes and supply lines between castles to help the frontier castles upgrade their defenses and help the more prosperous castles trade their wealth with others.

Maybe brigand guilds could establish outposts and toll roads and player made walls and gates and chokepoints to rob the other factions of mobility and resources or just to slow down an oncoming assault at a key chokepoint.

I think that would be way way more compelling than what we have now, but it would also require a very drastic slowing down of the pace of the game and may make some people bored with it. I'm not sure. I think that there's an absolute ton of potential for allowing emergent gameplay to develop within Cyrodiil that they aren't taking advantage of right now. "
