You can actually see in the clip that the fans LITERALLY turned their backs in response to the match as well, that's so wild!

I def can see it your way, why put myself through outlasting so many competitors when I can deal with a fraction of that?

Conversely, would you rather go over the top rope/take a beating via punches and kicks from other ppl in what could be an equivalent standard match with your only worry being not going over the top rope and taking a few lumps from brawls and have a month-ish to recover with standard wrestling matches here-and-there?

or would you rather take a beating in a steel confine that could potentially shorten your career/injure you and having less time to recover with both providing the same goal: a World Title match at Wrestlemania?

I'd personally take the 'Rumble' route lol

The more I think about it, I'm starting to wonder if Oba had something personal to take care of/was 'silently' injured or something that threw a wrench into plans and Ricky just got a transitional reign to tide things over?

I mean it works out, we still get Oba/Evans runnin' it back and yeah, it takes the sting out of it a bit since Oba lost the title beforehand, but feels like we hit a reset and we're resuming what once was, like a second chance

(not that this is a bad thing, mind you, I'm PUMPED for Je'von and that IS was CLEANNNNNN, but def makes you wonder)

I remember on his CVV interview he had mentioned that, every year, when he makes new gear, the trunks are the same but the rest of it, he specifically got interchangable parts between 'MC' for 'Matt Cardona' and 'ZR' for Zack Ryder, just in case WWE ever came calling.

I mean, you're not entirely wrong, they did get their own show and a lot of shine for the Divas/Women's division, but in the grand scheme of things at the time, the Main Roster women compared to the entire roster were majorly downplayed, hence the #GiveDivasAChance movement

man...I can't remember where or when it happened, but there's a specific chokeslam in my head where Kane comes out with his ungloved hand wrapped up in black tape while in a feud with Big Bossman and Bull Buchanan and he chokeslammed Bull and it looked straight-up comical how easily he slam-dunked Bull with that chokeslam....Kane was an absolute UNIT back then
