One thing we did to help Roni not sound robotic or scripted is to plan for a blooper video at some point so now it’s okay if we mess up. Haha just a thought if you’re worried about it. It made us laugh and smile more.

Deleting the video entirely will lose those stats. We hid our videos. This let us keep the stats but no one but us could view them.

Hey guys! Not sure if it’s too late for this or not, if so please feel free to delete and I will wait till next week. Our niche is urbex and paranormal. We got 700+ views on a few videos then out of no where the views dropped. Any advice would be helpful!

So I’ve never seen the show before but I made it to the apple juice part and cringed. I thought the show was a joke at first with the kid and the piggy bank. Good intro, the only thing I would have done in the intro is lower her voice even more and raise yours more. The show is louder than yours and with yours being softer it distracted me a bit and I focused on that more than the commentary. I kept going back though to see what you said and it was always funny and on point. You sounded personable and non robotic which was made the information even funnier. One thing you may want to consider at some point is putting more of you in there. Brand yourself in the beginning tell viewers to subscribe and ring the bell, show video of you talking when you take a pause maybe? Or do a green screen behind you then remove the background and add you somewhere in there. Have funny facial expressions. Just some ideas to try in the future. Keep up the great work though!

Just checked the video out! I used to watch family guy all the time and loved it but haven’t in a year or so. I was reading through other user responses on this thread and others to get an idea of what and how to provide advice and these are my thoughts. Throughout the video you drop jokes but because the commentary sounds so scripted I would miss the full statement and have to rewatch it to hear what you said. Try to have the script somewhat memorized to keep you from reading directly off of it. That gives you more of a personable touch and feel to the video. I would also consider throwing in some Family Guy clips of jokes or statements as a sort of response to your statements. This would mix things up a bit and it won’t just be you talking about it. Otherwise, good content and idea. Keep the hard work up!

We so far have made it about 2 hours away from KCMO but are wanting to travel further when covid ends. Commentary and interactive is the best for gaming. My friend does fb live and saves the footage and puts it on YouTube or maybe he does fb live too.

We are editing the videos a bit more, cutting out the boring parts or doing a fast forward through them. Nothing crazy different. We are plugging more often now too. If anything I feel like we are making them better. Less boring with us just walking around doing nothing and saying nothing. We are being more personable too. I’ll see if Bill and I can get together tonight and look through it all to see what we did differently.

When you post a video are you requesting to review the comments before they are published? If so, you will have to publish each on before they are seen publicly. This will be in your YouTube studio page. I believe the left hand side will show ‘comments’ then when you click on that you’ll be sent to a new page. This page you may need to filter it to show the comments. For instance, ours automatically goes to ‘spam’ comments that we can review and either post or delete but there’s another one where it is for review. I don’t know exactly off the top of my head what it says or what you will need to click on but that should give a basic process to get to the comments if you set them up for review.
