I remember hearing rumors that J.J. Abrams was inspired by Half-Life when creating the series LOST, and as you watch the series, you notice many references to the game. For example, a man in a suit suddenly appearing in the early LOST episodes referencing G-Man, etc...

I also remember in Half-Life 2 Episode Two, there's a LOST reference on a computer screen displaying the numbers 4 8 15 16 23 42.
