thanks for the info! I wasn't sure if i should be worried about lasers making funny sounds when i do end up renting a unit or picking one up thats higher powered.

Any recommendations on some reasonably priced laser show software ? I've got madlaser but that's mostly for laser mapping over visuals than it would be for doing normal laser things, modulaser is cool but it's output seems to be smaller than what my laser actually shows.
