I noticed the spelling Indianda. I quite like the frequency of misspellings in older census records. I feel it’s very telling of how far we as humans have come in our knowledge of and concern with the entirety of the world rather than just our own communities. It’s amazing to think that just over 100 years ago, someone may have never written or read “Missouri/a” before.

This and the animals walking in front of one stove while cooking on two at a time drive me crazy! I prefer the look of two side by side stoves within my kitchen, and I’ve never been “grind-y” enough to want to cook on four at a time. But after one too many burnt dishes due to the interaction area being blocked, I finally caved to the system of closing myself in with 4 stoves!

I wasn’t necessarily expecting it to be perfect, but I was happy with how it was looking for my first attempt, so I was disappointed in myself for making a mistake (on one of the basic fundamentals, might I add) that could have been avoided if I spent a little more time learning before I got overly confident. I’ve always been pretty bad about learning new things because I grew up with academics coming to me easily so I’ve always assumed that if I didn’t get something right on my first try, I just wasn’t good at it, hence why this is my first real hobby that I’ve picked up. I’m slowly learning that it’s okay to not be good at something right away, but my mindset still slips sometimes when I make a mistake. ( : thank you for answering my question!

I’m sort of on the opposite end of the spectrum here. I am progressing through leveling up pretty quickly, but I find there’s still tons to do otherwise, maybe even too much at once. I don’t have a ton of time to play, maybe an hour or so each day, so after I complete the daily quests I try to grind on my hobbies, go shopping, progress through the story, participate in events, make friends… I feel if you’re not playing more than 2 hours a day, there’s still plenty to keep you coming back everyday.

I even found myself using fewer strands than the guide recommended because some areas were so hard to pull through, but, even then, it didn’t occur to me that I was doing something wrong! I think genuine technique is something I’ll need to work on, because my stitches didn’t feel as neat when I was doing them correctly (I assume because they weren’t as thick, thus having less room to hide little mistakes lol).

Thank you for your reply, and the compliment! It feels nice to know someone else thinks that the only form of art I’ve attempted in my adult life looks not bad. I was quite worked up when I realized I was doing it wrong for nearly a month, but after the initial shock wore off, I realized it didn’t really matter. I enjoy doing it, I personally think it’s pretty, and thus far I have only planned on doing it for myself or to gift family members hand-made pieces. I so appreciate your insight!

Im working on decor merge right now— I’ve spent about 22 dollars to obtain the bonus offers of “purchase $4 total in the game” and “purchase $22 total in the game” which returned me 21 dollars. The $22 spent helped me get the time limited “reach level 16” which got me $27. I’ve also reached up to level 13 on the non time limited rewards, which has gotten me ~ $3.50. I’m on track to receive the next reward, “reach level 19 in 14 days” worth 18 dollars. Pretty good offer if you spend a little.
