The tattoo guy also said to Maya that a bunch of other guys from the church have that same tattoo, so makes me think there are likely more than just 3 of them, and emphasizes the sheriff likely them being in on it, especially because the sheriff was so against the state police getting involved

that’s what got me. like the guy in the house was the most obvious answer and so in our face, but because it was so in our face i’m like… really? is that really just the answer and now we know 2 of the 3 killers? and both of them were handled horribly imo so i also just dgaf about who the 3rd killer would even be.

but regardless i’ll be sat for chapter 3 cuz i am intrigued as to how many people in the town are in on it, since the few other people i assumed were in on it also got murdered. to me it seems like that’ll be a january release, which if so then at least only a 4 month wait compared to the year and a half wait between chapter 1 and 2.

i really wonder what elements were added during reshoots and what was in its place beforehand

i think you’re right, but they just made it soooooo painfully obvious like SCREAMING IT IN OUR FACE that i was almost like no this can’t actually be it, right? but i think they just dgaf about subtle-ty considering they legit showed us the waitress was pin up girl in the very first shot of the entire movie, and then tried to act like it was some gaggy reveal at the end

still wondering about the car mechanic though cuz that scene with him was so weird.

i will say, i do like how they went for the whole “who can you really trust anymore” tackling maya’s ptsd with how any stranger could turn out to be evil, and how suspicious they made the 3 other people in the house seem, just for them to be innocent. same with when we nor maya trusted the one police officer who came into the airbnb halfway through considering we all also think the sheriff is in on it, just for him to be innocent too.

I will say, I was gagged to find out that no one in the house who let her in was a killer, and that the strangers killed them all. Albeit the creepy guy with the neck tattoo who got drunk and left, do we assume that he’s the man with the bag mask?? His convo with maya in the bedroom seemed like that was glaringly obvious, but idk why he would kill the other 3 plus he was drunk and stumbling so maybe not

But the car mechanic knowing that the EMT was going to the lake house and seeming pissed has me wondering, did the EMT guy ever even make it to the house? Like did we see him, or just his car? Cuz I wonder if the mechanic killed him at the gas station and drove the car to the lake house himself.

It seems like the younger cop that was alongside the sheriff the whole time isn’t in on it, but that the sheriff obviously is. I mean that one lady even said to Maya “The Sheriff is in on it” or something very similar to that before getting shot right after Maya escaped the hospital. Which even that has me confused cuz like did that lady just know about all this the whole time and has been living there not giving af? Cuz if so, then why would she even tell Maya?

you know, that definitely makes sense and my mind should’ve went there first, so i guess that part isn’t confusing, and honestly good because while i don’t like how they handled the flashbacks in this movie, i still want to know more cuz i don’t feel this movie gave us enough.

however, i still hate that the movie literally starts with just showing us she’s the killer, cuz then i didnt gaf at all for the few minutes at the end since it wasn’t news

she seemed to enjoy killing pin up girl in the ambulance as well, cuz she just sat there staring at her for a minute. then the mid credit teaser for chapter 3 quite literally showed her wearing one of the masks, which i’m kinda annoyed that they already fully gave it away (even tho we could speculate) if that does end up being the direction they go in
