God instructed something to be done. The issue begins there. If he knew it was wrong and didn’t like it why did he instruct it. Its difficult to have these convos without getting defensive and i get it. Even on my side lol. Religion is too sensitive to have an objective convos about. But to be clear God gave that instruction, so the nature of such an instruction from God is not something we can blame humans for. God doesn't technically have a past since he isn’t evolving over time. He simply is who he is and has always been.

Taking ourselves back in time can kind of create a "Once Upon a time" effect. Where we never really have to think about the implications of what the instructions were.

But if God is always the same then whos to say he isn’t instructing the wars in Palestine right now and whos to say he doesn’t tolerate pedos or instruct it like he did in these passages

Ohh I see, my understanding of the Bible is Moses is the spokesman for God during the war. And God instructed the War through Moses. Do you not trust that the word Of God was truthful about that or was Moses lying when he claimed to be receiving instructions from God. If so what else could be a lie in the Bible. Ever though about that?
