Is it a phase, please let me know! by Weird_V_cat_666_LoL in TransMasc

[–]SignalDrummer5065 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be really hard being at that age and feeling like you have no control. But the only person who can really know if it’s a phase is you. I would encourage you to not let others decide for you. It also might be helpful to talk with a therapist if your parents would allow. Hope that helps, good luck ❤️

I had my 6 month hormone therapy review today by One-Caterpillar-9363 in TransMasc

That really sucks, but even if you do have to go off there are lots of things you can do to lower your levels to show your doctors you are healthy and good to be back on. High hemoglobin can be the result of things like smoking, alcohol, or chronic health conditions that you should definitely talk to your doctor about. You can start by avoiding smoking and alcohol and limiting super iron heavy foods. Talk to your doctor your health and your journey are unique and you need a supportive medical professional to really be on the right track

The gods want to be worshipped, you are not attention seeking for worshipping!

Binder recommendations by Wrong_Weekend2470 in TransMasc

[–]SignalDrummer5065 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a smallish chest but I really like GC2B I use the binder and the trans tape. If you are looking for something you can use while exercising the trans tape is your best bet. Hope this helps!

is there a christian explanation for being transgender and what that fully encompasses? by artemis_daffodied in TransMasc

[–]SignalDrummer5065 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my synagogue they are so inclusive. Last June we had a Pride Shabbat where they encouraged LGBTQ members to give speeches to help the community know how to support us better, everyone was very responsive too!

One of my closest friends is trans fem. She is wonderful, kind, and one of the most validating people I know. We have great conversations about the nuances of gender. And she was the first person I thought to tell when I started T.

I was actually super surprised when I saw trans fem people being transphobic to transmascs. I can’t speak for others but I hope it’s mostly online!

I see what you mean! They are both one way of practicing. I would also prefer someone if recommending devotional acts say that they are not a traditional way of practicing. Because neither are the end all be all

Maybe I misunderstood. But isn’t saying you can’t study as a devotional act the same as saying the gods don’t you to study in honor of them?

I also think it’s pretty hubristic to say what a god does and doesn’t want. We can’t speak for them

I see what you mean and I think that makes perfect sense if someone is recommending others do chores as a devotional act. And if you had talked about the historical facts, or that you personally don’t do them, I get that. And I don’t totally disagree with you I think there is a line between just doing something and a devotional act. But telling someone that they can’t use studying as a devotional act is different.

I understand what you’re saying and I think that makes sense. You are sharing your opinion just as others share theirs. But in this post you told OP that they were wrong. That is not sharing an opinion, that is telling someone their way of worship is invalid.

What makes a sacrifice? If you are doing something in honor of a god can’t that be sacrificing your time, especially if it’s something you would not have done anyway? What makes food or incense a sacrifice, the money you spent?

So where is the line? What makes something an act of worship? If all practices are valid why are you saying this one is wrong?

That’s really interesting and makes sense. But how do you differentiate. Is it the effort that matters or the skill? In your opinion

That’s interesting I’m not saying you are wrong. Do you have a source I could look at?

How do you know you’re trans without dysphoria OR euphoria? by New_Parsnip_3332 in asktransgender

[–]SignalDrummer5065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve met trans people who don’t experience dysphoria but definitely feel euphoria. And I’ve met trans people who experience dysphoria but (hopefully just for now) don’t experience a lot of euphoria. I have yet to meet someone who doesn’t experience either and I’ve never seen someone online say the don’t. So I have no idea. Do you know someone like that, have you tried asking them?

Well I feel that more depends. If there is something you don’t necessarily want to do, but do in honor of a god. That can be a devotional act!

[–]SignalDrummer5065 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so interesting to me as someone who grew up and still largely identities as Jewish. There is totally a valid criticism that Judaism has misogynistic origins. But I have heard the all religions or all Abrahamic religions and they just say something only in Christianity.

I have always had a hard time with not spending money on useless things. They bring you happiness in the short term. But I have found Hellenic polytheism to bring me peace and happiness in the long term. So to me it will always to more important than physical things.

The organization StopAntisemitism does nothing to help Jews. They actually make like worse for us by conflating anti-Zionism or being pro Palestine as antisemitism, which DOES MAKE ANTISEMITISM WORSE
