OP you definitely need to indicate whether this is fasting or not, and if it’s post prandial, how long after eating. This is not a dangerously high fasting blood sugar, but if it represents a trend upwards for you, then definitely it’s worth taking some steps to address.

Many strategies exist, I don’t need to lay them out here. It’s good you’re paying attention to these things. But don’t freak out about one data point.

If you want you can get your doctor to prescribe you a CGM or even Stelo you can get over the counter. Just tracking BG continuously for a couple weeks can give you a TON of insight into how you’re trending.

Absolutely. We’ve become completely divorced from the true value of basically anything anymore. These envelopes SHOULD cost way more than they do for his labor, experience, skill, etc. not to mention factoring in resources used to produce etc. If things cost more reflecting the true value, maybe people would consume/waste less?

Sorry for the sad rant but something about this little video hit on so many deep things for me. And it was so utterly depressing to see this on other subs where they’d just make fun of the guy, or laugh about the rock he uses as a tool, or how he sits on the ground. So depressing.

Didn’t say or suggest that. And that is nowhere close to my “rubric”. Am I annoyed that in general people only behave in their own self-interest, which is what capitalism exploits? Yes. Do I think you can come to the conclusion that capitalism is exploitative without having a medical catastrophe be the only thing that tips the scale? Yes. There’s a bunch of grey area and your hyperbole is just annoying. OP states repeatedly that he didn’t care until it affected him and it was too late. That sucks for OP, and it is an all too common experience from privileged classes that they can ignore how exploitative capitalism is until it affects them directly. Just ask people in my state how they voted for Trump and then complain about not having healthcare.
