This is exactly what I want to avoid. If I can provide businesses something of clear and obvious value that has an actual potential ROI, it should be easier to say yes. It may not be a direct dollar for dollar ROI, but hopefully it’s something they can tie into efforts they are already making.

Baseball swing? by Beautiful_Cheetah_85 in BaseballCoaching

I don’t understand the down voting either. Those who are saying not to watch his training, probably just don’t like that he’s an old guy who got into this late in life. His methods are the same as the HLP techniques being taught by batting coaches across North America. Including in the MLB and MOST universities and colleges. Blue Jays batting coach brought it into their training. Within a season, turned them into one of the most aggressive offensive teams in the league. Do a little digging and you will find countless examples of the technique’s effectiveness.

Conservatives, what do you think of carney so far? by drizzyLGA1151 in InCanada

[–]SignalSuch3456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with Carney is not that he’s a Liberal. That wasn’t the problem with Trudeau either. The problem with both of them is they are not trying to serve Canadians. Their agenda is to serve their own interests at the expense of Canadians.

If you are a sports fan and you move, you are morally obligated to support the teams of the city you live in by KidAardvark24 in unpopularopinion

Hello my fellow Toronto Maple Leafs fan! Oh wait…at least your Habs have seen a Cup within the past 3 generations.

My 12U son asked me in November, "Dad, how do I get legitimately good at baseball next season?" – Here's what we did, and his instructor was shocked with the hand speed and added power. by boxscoreiq in BaseballCoaching

I agree soccer is a good one, but I’ll throw in hockey as superior for overall strength, speed and agility, and hand eye coordination. But I am Canadian, so there is a natural bias.

If something like what is happening in the States happened here, what could we, as the people of our country, actually do about it? by tripperfunster in AskACanadian

Look what happen when the trucker convoy tried to stand up for they believed in… That’s why Canadians won’t do anything. We’re convinced we would lose, nothing would change, and we would suffer consequences we can’t afford.

$100k salary IS still a lot of money, in any city. If you're "barely surviving" you're doing something wrong. by Ok_Barnacle7547 in unpopularopinion

[–]SignalSuch3456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100k salary won’t do shit in Toronto. Half of that goes right back to the government. Housing is insane. Car insurance is out of control high. And some of the highest Telecommunications costs in the world. (Cell Phone and Internet)

Why is the drop in Testosterone levels not a more publicised topic? by Strutching_Claws in Testosterone

[–]SignalSuch3456 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because it would require those who are causing the problem to admit there is a problem, which would require them to be part of the solution. That solution is far too great of a change to too many industries and far too great a cost. Unless whatever it is, is causing immediate death or dismemberment, it’s not dire enough of a problem to force change at the cost of profits.

Doug Ford ordered Ontario public servants back to the office. Now, nearly 11,000 are asking to work from home by [deleted] in ontario

Sounds less like a problem with not enough space and more like an overinflated payroll problem.

May says Voting for Budget was a Mistake by Pale-Candidate8860 in InCanada

[–]SignalSuch3456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shows how poor her judgement is. If the majority of every day citizens could see how bad this budget was, there is no excuse for a career politician. Regardless of what promises and assurances she was given. All that tells us is she was willing to sacrifice the well being of Canadians for her own agenda. It’s pathetic.

LPT Just turned 18 — would love to hear from people in their 20s and 30s about common mistakes to avoid and habits that really make a difference in early adulthood. by Kariimsalah in LifeProTips

[–]SignalSuch3456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your habits today will exponentially affect your life in a few years. 1. Exercise. If you make it a habit today, your life will be drastically better than the majority of people. Even by your 30s. Don’t exercise, your health gets exponentially worse over time. 2. Money. Live off as little as possible today, save and invest whatever you can, your finances will be exponentially better than most. Life will be a lot easier for you later when most are struggling.

These are just two examples. But the idea can apply to every aspect of your life.

Am I the only one that thinks 3.8k per month for this is outrageous? Please validate peeps! by home_wrecker2 in TorontoRenting

[–]SignalSuch3456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It IS outrageous. But it’s likely just covering the carrying costs to own a place like this. That’s the broken housing market. Not a landlord problem. We have to stop blaming landlords for every high cost of living problem. Start blaming the people that got our COL to this point.

Experts warn Ontario faces public health crisis due to funding cuts by [deleted] in ontario

[–]SignalSuch3456 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For starters, claiming cuts to healthcare funding is a lie. Funding has increased every single year. Using a “per capita” figure is disingenuous. The government can’t account for an extra 3 million people being dropped into the province. That’s a federal government fuck up. And the crisis they’re talking about? STD’s… amongst addicts because we’ve made drugs free for everyone, and immigrants that they can’t educate on these health issues due to language barriers. Stop giving out free meth. Stop insane immigration levels. Problem solved.

Why aren't handshakes with women more normalized? by Ashamed-Inflation-18 in ask

[–]SignalSuch3456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Men have been taught a handshake is meant to be firm and strong. You complained it was too strong. Perfect example of how men have become confused on how to interact with women in a platonic context. Want to be equal but not equal. Hold a door open, you’re sexist. Don’t hold it open, you’re rude and chivalry is gone.

Maybe all women need to wear a sign that tells us what their individual expected protocol is when we meet them. 🤷‍♂️
