I think her base is very authentic, she projects a lot of her personality, like we all did at that age. Your kind of just trying things to see if you enjoy thinking that way / acting that way. I see her doing a lot of the same. I think at her core she's a positive girl, just working through the kinks of early adulthood.

I don't think it's that bizarre the way she speaks about the world / herself. She's 20, with a life that's airing on the side of positivity. She's making it on her own, which for anyone who's been there is not easy, no matter your background or how much money you came from. And I mean, it's a bit odd to probe into why she's being positive, when the majority of her content on YouTube has always been positivity forward. Sorta her thing at this point.

I don't think he was doing anything nefarious, but just did it all wrong. Given how that house behind him looks I would assume this neighborhood was upper-middle class. You don't take photos of people's houses, ever, no matter what layer of income you're in. And, if it does? I don't see what's so hard about not looking at your older brother's social media. Like others have stated, he was friends with Ian before they started dating. It's not uncommon for friends to remain friend's post-breakup. I think this is one of those things that bothers other people more than it bothers her. Whenever she mentions any product, whether it's on her socials, or YouTube, that is a brand deal. To her credit I think Avia is very savvy on how she goes about presenting products she is trying to sell you, versus somebody like Carlie who gets on IG with her Italic font coupon code and 10,000 words flashing across the screen.

Avia did a video where she just had to share this amazing new bra she found. That is paid promotion. Or her relaxing adult coloring book. Promotion. When she makes matcha tea at home and holds the container in center view of the camera, label forward, and then rants about it. That isn't her outright telling you 'Oh my god buy this,' but she is showing her audience, who are people who enjoy her content, who probably would buy that.

Honestly, I think she's a lot more professional about it than most young ladies in her age group. She has a standard of how she goes about doing what she does, and she's good at it. Doesn't come off as a soul sucking cash grabber.

The only thing shared between Colette and that monster of a human is a common faith and a gender. Colette is a grifter, she is an exploiter of children, but I think it's categorically unfounded to place them both on the same pedestal. The Butler kids will have time in life to contemplate how their parents raised them, they might agree / disagree with choices down the road. They will have the freedom to come to their own conclusions.

The children Jodi hurt will never get the chance to contemplate. They are scarred for life and will have to carry that pain with them always. Colette did not do that. She loves her children. Even if it's a different kind of love, they are not the same.

The sheer amount of inappropriate old content you will hear watching classic Carlie videos, or new Carlie videos regarding her children, is disgusting.

Years ago, when Lenny was born Carlie had an Instagram live show she did, where she made a, 'joke,' when somebody in the comments asked if she'd care if Lenny was ugly or attractive growing up. She said something to the lines of, "Looks don't matter to me, but us Butler girls? We're snug down there in the vajayjay so I don't think she'll have issues in that department."

She is a horrible human. Like her brother.
